8K Runners Bring Anime To Life At One Piece Run 2025

About 8,000 runners embarked on the adventure of a lifetime as the highly anticipated One Piece Run 2025 turned the streets around SM City Fairview into a vibrant voyage across the Grand Line last September 28, 2025. Leading the pack in the 10K category were John Christian Balonso (39:28) and Maria Rozy Zepeda (50:04), both displaying speed and endurance worthy of the Pirate King himself. In the men’s division, John Paul Enriquez (41:39) and Cedric Joshua Parcellano (43:13) completed the top three, while Marjorie Braza (51:52) and Jyra Lahay Lahay (58:27) joined Zepeda on the women’s podium. 

The fun run transformed into a lively sea of Straw Hat Pirates, anime fans, and fitness enthusiasts, blending health and fandom in an atmosphere bursting with energy and color. The event was staged in partnership with SM Fairview, SM Fandom, and Toei Animation and organized by RUNRIO. In the 5K race, Mark Angelo Biagtan (17:49) ruled the men’s division, followed by Joruss Delgado (18:24) and Joeross Simangan (18:57). Among women, Jo Punay (22:42) claimed the top spot, trailed by Jamie Del Rosario (27:45) and Hannah Dacanay (27:50). The 3K category saw Cavin Vidal (10:53) emerge as the fastest male runner ahead of Zed Icarus Balanday (12:51) and Lyndon Gatasi (13:02). Rochelle Nina Pingol (18:35) topped the women’s side, followed closely by Asti Nasayao (18:43) and Rachel Anne Balverde (18:50). In the 1K fun run, Joseph Fontamillas (5:12) took first place in the men’s division, beating Arjay Dela Cruz (5:17) and Ernie Vie Estoque (6:46). Ayra Jerica Acosta (7:05) led the women’s race ahead of Francesca Dominique Apolinario (7:09) and Tiara Jerisse Medina (7:17).

DAZN Secures International Multi-Year U.S. College Sports Rights With Big Ten Conference And FOX Sports Deal

DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, recently announced a multi-year agreement with the Big Ten Network and FOX Sports to bring an expanded slate of U.S. college sports content to fans around the world (excluding U.S.). Beginning this season, DAZN will stream all regular season football games, as well as the 2025 Discover Big Ten Football Championship game, from the Big Ten Conference. In addition to football, DAZN will offer a robust slate of men’s and women’s Big Ten basketball games, as well as a round-the-clock feed of the Big Ten Network and a variety of shoulder programming and highlights. 

The agreement also includes all of FOX Sports’ football games from the Big 12 Conference and a selection of games from the Mountain West Conference in addition to top tier basketball matchups from the Big 12 and BIG EAST conferences. This agreement builds on DAZN’s recently expanded U.S. college sports portfolio. DAZN now offers international fans access to content from the Big Ten, Southeastern Conference, Big 12, BIG EAST, Mountain West and Atlantic Coast Conference, representing the biggest conferences in college sports. Most games will be exclusive to DAZN and available free-to-view for a limited time on the platform.
