MILO® reinforces its commitment to Philippine sports by unveiling a national chant for Filipino athletes in time for the global competition. “Galing Ay Ilabas, Galing Ng Pilipinas!”, which debuted at the official SEA Games 2025 Sendoff Ceremony for Team Philippines last November 28, 2025, aims to give athletes a warm and fitting tribute for their undaunting hardwork, determination, and perseverance to succeed and achieve beyond winning.
Crafted to embody the skill and heart of every Filipino athlete, the chant was brought to life by the vibrant rhythm and choreography conceptualized by the UP Varsity Pep Drummers and UP Pep Squad. Since its unveiling, the chant has since secured the endorsement of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) as the official chant for national athletes going forward, marking a new chapter in Philippine sports. Additionally, members of the MILO® community, from brand ambassadors to athletes, have also used it on their social media posts, spurring the rest of the nation to join in and use it to show their support not just for the SEA Games delegation but also for the Filipino athletes competing in the international stage. On the other hand, MILO® Philippines also launched a “Galing Ng Pilipinas” TikTok filter which gives anyone the opportunity to perform the chant, recreate the choreography, and show their support for Philippines’ athletes at any given point during their respective competitions. “We at MILO® hope every Filipino athlete will feel the strength of a nation cheering them on. Through this empowering chant, we hope to unite the country in celebrating the excellence and exceptional talent of our athletes,” said MILO® Philippines Senior Vice President Veronica Cruz.
A long-standing partner of both the PSC and POC in nourishing athletes from grassroots to greatness, “Galing Ay Ilabas, Galing Ng Pilipinas!” serves as a clear testament to MILO® Philippines’ commitment to empower athletes and unite the nation that stands proudly behind them. MILO® recently released a full-length song inspired by the said chant as a way to cap off its series of tributes to the athletes participating in the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. With the song led by none other than Filipino music icon Rico Blanco, the piece is expected to contain a powerful montage featuring the nation’s supporters, ranging from brand partners and athletes, to everyday Filipinos who have taken part in the movement. Blanco has been known to be a passionate advocate for athletes, re-releasing Rivermaya’s ‘Alab Ng Puso’ during Hidilyn Diaz’s Olympic victory in 2020. These efforts continue to showcase the commitment of MILO® of uniting the nation in cheering for our athletes and celebrating their skill, heart, and dedication. With “Galing Ay Ilabas, Galing Ng Pilipinas!” now serving as the official chant for Philippine sports, MILO® encourages all to share their voice of support to follow our athletes wherever and whenever.
