Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) has reached a historic milestone, becoming the largest hotel group in the Philippines to be certified as Muslim-friendly by the Department of Tourism (DOT). In a formal ceremony held inside the DOT Main Office, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco personally awarded the certification to the RHR brand, recognizing its portfolio-wide commitment to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. A total of 22 RHR properties have received this official certification, covering the group’s extensive portfolio including Grand Summit Hotel, Summit Hotels and Resorts, Go Hotels Plus, Go Hotels, and its international brands The Westin Manila and Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
The journey toward this landmark certification began with Grand Summit Hotel General Santos, the first RHR property to receive the distinction. Its prayer room has been lauded by the DOT as one of the best in the country, subsequently serving as the blueprint for other hospitality establishments nationwide. To ensure a seamless experience for Muslim guests, RHR has implemented specialized facilities and services, including dedicated prayer spaces and specialized staff training to ensure hospitality that honors Muslim traditions and preferences. This initiative is the latest achievement for RHR, which continues to be recognized on the global stage. Recently named “Philippines’ Leading Hotel Group” at the World Travel Awards Asia and “Best Hospitality Developer” at the Property Guru Asia Property Awards, the group views these accolades as a responsibility to innovate. RHR Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager Barun Jolly emphasized that the group is not resting on its laurels, stating, “This certification is a testament to our deep respect for the Muslim community, which is an increasingly vital and vibrant part of our national tourism landscape. As a multi-awarded group — honored by the World Travel Awards Asia and Property Guru Asia — we are constantly looking for ways to be truly deserving of these citations. By certifying 22 of our properties, we are ensuring our hospitality is world-class and inclusive. We are honored to support the Department of Tourism’s vision of a more diverse and globally accessible industry where every traveler, regardless of faith, feels truly at home.”
The certification of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation, marks a significant step in supporting the DOT’s National Tourism Development Plan. By securing the most certifications for a single hotel group in the country, RHR cements its position as an industry leader, advocating for a more inclusive and culturally aware landscape for all visitors. Robinsons Hotels and Resorts is the largest hospitality group in the Philippines with the most diversified portfolio ranging from ultra-luxury to essential value. It has 30 properties in 20 cities and municipalities with more than 5,000 room keys nationwide.

The initiative is designed to make responsible tech disposal an everyday habit for mallgoers. “We take pride in being the go-to tech destination for shoppers. But as gadgets evolve, so does the need to dispose of old electronics responsibly. Everyone has a role to play, and Cyberzone is committed to making it simpler and safer to do the right thing, so tech does not end up harming the planet,” said SM Supermalls Vice President for Cyberzone Operations and Marketing Patrick Pacla. Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery Collection successfully hosted Heart Beats Run 2026, a purpose-driven wellness event that brought together 80 guests for a morning of movement, connection, and community. The event began with an Anta Shoe Trial, setting the tone for a mindful yet dynamic run experience. Participants then completed a 5-kilometer awareness run along Roxas Boulevard, one of Metro Manila’s most iconic waterfront routes — celebrating fitness, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to making every step and every heartbeat count.
Following the run, guests were welcomed to a Recovery Party at Coconut Grove hosted by the hotel. The post-run experience featured wellness and recovery-focused activities, including ice baths, physiotherapy sessions, and a hearty and healthy breakfast, allowing participants to recharge and reconnect in a relaxed, uplifting setting. Originally conceptualized in 2025 in celebration of World Heart Day, Heart Beats Run was designed to spotlight the importance of heart health — both physical and emotional. While the initial schedule was postponed due to unpredictable weather conditions, the pause only strengthened the initiative’s purpose. Finally realized on January 18, 2026, the run became a powerful reminder that when hearts continue to beat with intention, meaningful initiatives always find their way forward. The name “Heart Beats Run” reflects not only the rhythm of movement, but also the collective heartbeat of a community united by wellness, resilience, and impact.
At the heart of this initiative is its partnership with Girls Got Game, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young girls through sport and movement. By championing confidence, resilience, and opportunity, Girls Got Game uses athletics as a platform to inspire leadership, self-belief, and positive social change. Every stride taken during the run directly supported this meaningful advocacy.

Through GlobeOne’s Group Goal feature, customers donated as little as one point to help reach a collective target of 200,000 points. A Go Bag contains emergency needs like food, flashlight, whistle, gloves, medicine, and first aid essentials.
“Our vision is to make giving easier and more impactful for every Filipino. With just a tap on the GlobeOne app, you can be part of a larger effort to bring relief and hope to those who lost their homes due to earthquakes and floods,” said Globe Feel Valued Tribe Vice President Bianca Wong.
