InfiniVAN Inc., a Japanese-affiliated telecommunications company, and Royal Cable Vision Corporation, a fiber home internet provider, officially exchanged visions of service through a strategic partnership poised to establish a new benchmark in digital infrastructure titled “Magkatuwang Sa Pambansang Digitalisasyon: Empowering Digital Progress Through The InfiniVAN-Royal Cable Partnership” held last February 26, 2026 at Nex Tower Penthouse in Makati City.
Through an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) Agreement, Royal Cable Vision Corporation will use InfiniVAN’s Microduct Tube (MD) within the facility. This agreement forms an alliance between signatory parties to make a trailblazing move for advancing digital transformation. Coordinated by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), this configuration — combined with the implementation of the Konektadong Pinoy Act (Republic Act No. 12234) — creates a “triple threat” to the country’s long-standing internet issues. This also props up the “Dig Once” Policy of R.A. No. 12234 which aims to minimize disruptions to infrastructure and provide on-the-go continuous internet security. Along the same line, this will foster an open access policy aimed at creating a more competitive, faster and more accessible and affordable internet for all Filipinos. This move scales up digital infrastructure in accordance with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.‘s directive for reliable and affordable internet. By reinforcing a society where no one is left offline, InfiniVAN and Royal Cable are paving the way for a future of “Walang Iwanan Sa Digital Bayanihan”.
Key officials gracing the forging of the strategic partnership for InfiniVAN Inc. include President Shigeki Nakahara, Chief Legal Counsel Atty. Jonathan Altubar, Chief Finance Officer Valenbert Juan, Chief Procurement and Logistics Officer and IPO/ISO Project Head Melanie Germentil, Chief Technology Officer Engr. Alberto Espedido, and Executive Advisor Engr. Edgardo Opulencia while Royal Cable Corporation is represented by President and CEO Dennis Lazaro and Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue and Operating Officer Dr. Omar Salvador S. Galang. The event was further graced by the DICT’s Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda who acted as the government’s strategic partner and regulator ensuring that the collaboration is fully aligned to the national digital goals. Also present in the ceremony was the Isowa Koji, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan to the Philippines, who highlighted a bright future of cultural exchange and the adoption of Japanese professional advances in service of the Filipino people.
Looking forward, InfiniVAN Inc and Royal Cable will foster a shared commitment of infrastructure sharing, open access, and high-quality internet services to every Filipino community. This partnership aims to drive transformative change in connectivity, effectively demolishing the barriers to national digital linkage.
