With over 14 billion streams, 5 million album sales, six UK #1 albums and countless international Platinum certifications led by two US Platinum singles and two US Top 10 albums, the multi-awarded and platinum-selling Irish band, THE SCRIPT are coming back to MANILA and bringing their ‘MAN IN THE ARENA TOUR’ on March 18, 2027 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, presented by Wilbros Live with Midas Promotions. Tickets are now available via SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets nationwide.

Today, The Script enters a new era by sharing their new single ‘Man In The Arena’ – the first taste of their new album ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ which follows on August 14, 2026. The Script will follow the album with a huge UK and Ireland arena tour which starts in October, with further global touring also confirmed – adding to the 4.5 million tickets they have sold in their career. ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ follows 2024’s ‘Satellites’, a record that saw vocalist Danny O’Donoghue attempt to process the grief that followed the tragic passing of his bandmate and friend Mark Sheehan in 2023. The record was followed by a global arena tour in which every show paid tribute to Mark. After the tour ended, Danny found himself energized and inspired. Within a week of finishing, he was writing and recording new material with Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry, who between them had previously contributed to many of The Script’s huge hits, including ‘Hall Of Fame’, ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ and ‘Breakeven’. Recorded in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, California, the result is an album in which Danny has established a powerful sense of purpose and direction for the next stage of the band, full of the real, emotional, soul-deep connection that their fans have come to love. Danny says, “The title is what this album is about. If you need something to remind you of the spectrum of feelings and emotions that make you feel human, this is it.”

The skyscraping ambition of ‘Man In The Arena’ lives up to its title with a hard-hitting R&B groove suddenly bursting into a classic Script mega-chorus built for the biggest of stages: a rousing Danny O’Donoghue delivers a typically charismatic vocal, with lyrics that affirm that the person who dares to put themselves in the spotlight is infinitely braver than anyone who criticises from the sidelines. Its lyrics are taken, in part, from a famous speech by American President Theodore Roosevelt. Danny explains, “He talks about how honours don’t belong to the critics. They don’t belong to the people sitting on the couch, laughing at the person in the ring stumbling and falling around. The honours belong to the one who gets in there and whose face is marred with dust and blood. I remember reading it and being like: that needs to be in a tune, the energy in it is beautiful.” ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ is now available to pre-order / pre-save here. It will be available on CD and limited transparent vinyl with the artist store also stocking exclusive merch bundles, extremely limited test pressing vinyls and a cassette.

“Tayo Sa Wakas” Makes Audience Feel In Love Again; Debuts Php12M In PH Box Office, Biggest Opening For Local Films In 2026

Moviegoers are embracing the emotional depth and relatable love story of “Tayo Sa Wakas” as it kicked off its theatrical run with Php12M (12 million pesos) box office earnings last May 27, the highest opening day gross for a local film in 2026. The Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan-starrer is Star Cinema’s 33rd anniversary offering from acclaimed director Cathy Garcia-Sampana, who shared that the film, themed “lovers to rivals”, ultimately aims to entertain audiences while making them believe in and fall in love with love again. Following its solid opening, “Tayo Sa Wakas” is now showing in 250 cinemas in the Philippines with global screenings to follow starting June.

The film centers on long-time couple, Cisco (Donny) and Cheska (Belle), who are forced to confront how their ambitions put them on competing paths. They take a promised breakup trip to decide if they should finally let go of each other or fight for their love. “Tayo Sa Wakas (Us In The End)” will be showing in Australia and New Zealand starting June 11, the US, Canada, and Guam beginning June 12, and Hong Kong and Macau starting June 21. It will also have screenings in Malaysia in June, Taiwan starting August 7, and also coming soon to the Middle East. Meanwhile, Belle and Donny Pangilinan dazzle in the latest digital cover of Metro, their fifth time gracing its cover, where the two Kapamilya stars radiated charm and chemistry in the cover shoot, themed “Dancing In The Rain”, with a cinematic summer rain backdrop that captures a love that withstands uncertainties, aligning with their evolution from starring in light romances to more layered and grounded storytelling today.

In the Metro cover story titled “Come Rain Or Shine: Donny Pangilinan And Belle Mariano’s ‘Last Dance’ In ‘Tayo Sa Wakas’”, Donny teased about the reality in relationships that their new film will tackle, sharing, “Love is the center of everything. It should be, ‘di ba? But then, in the midst of love, in the midst of falling in love, it’s not always happy moments as well. So you go through all of that, ‘d ba? But we also go through that here in the story.” Belle, meanwhile, talked about the impact she hopes their latest project will have on audiences, saying, “It’s up to you or what state you are in for you to relate to it, but I’m pretty sure that the people who watch it would relate to it, whether that’s finding love for yourself or finding your true love. It talks so much about love and how to love someone, but ultimately, how to love yourself.”

(Image Source: manila concert scene/QR Events Solutions Inc.)

Riding high on the massive success of their latest hit single, “Kabisado” currently one of the hottest tracks on the Billboard Philippines, Spotify, and Apple Music charts, as well as on major local radio stations, acclaimed rock band IV of Spades is set to return to the SM Mall of Asia Arena on August 2, 2026 to headline the landmark concert “Ikalawang YUGTO: Buhay At Pag-Ibig”. Joining IV of Spades for this one-night-only event are Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 standouts Kai Montinola and Kolette Madelo alongside Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets Season 2 Grand Champions Arvery Lagoring and Christian Tibayan (ArChan).

IV of Spades, whose current single “Kabisado” is dominating music streaming platforms and local radio airwaves, is arguably one of today’s most sought-after Filipino acts. Since earlier this year, the band composed of Unique Salonga (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Zild Benitez (vocals/bass/keyboards), Blaster Silonga (vocals/lead guitar), and Badjao De Castro (drums/backing vocals) has been making waves nationwide through a highly successful, multi-city concert tour spanning major venues across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Their cultural impact remains unmatched, so much so that Pinoy rock icon Rico Blanco recently mentioned in a TV interview that IV of Spades is his absolute “dream collaboration”. For co-headliner Kai Montinola, sharing the stage with the band is a dream come true. A longtime admirer of IV of Spades’ distinct brand of funk-rock since hearing their hit “Come Inside Of My Heart”, Kai shared her excitement over the band’s historic 2025 return after a years-long hiatus, declaring, “I am incredibly honored to be one of the performers chosen to join IVOS for ‘Ikalawang YUGTO…’ I am so excited for this night.”

Conceptualized as a dynamic concert series, “YUGTO” celebrates contemporary Original Pilipino Music (OPM) by bringing together live performances from artists who have profoundly captured the hearts of music lovers through their artistry and inspiring journeys. Tickets for “Ikalawang YUGTO: Buhay At Pag-Ibig” are available simultaneously online and over the counter nationwide. Fans can secure their seats directly through the official SM Tickets website at https://smtickets.com/events/view/17772. SIRUP Launches Asia Tour With Futuristic New ‘Not AI’ Music Video

Japanese R&B artist SIRUP has unveiled the music video for his latest digital single “Not AI”, a groove-driven dance track exploring what it means to stay human in an increasingly AI-dominated world. Built around the theme of emotional authenticity in the digital age, “Not AI” presents a direct yet uplifting message about the value of human emotion, instinct, and individuality — the kinds of “vibes” that technology can never truly generate. Blending SIRUP’s signature smooth vocals with infectious hooks and sleek production, the track transforms a distinctly modern theme into an energetic pop experience.

The song was created alongside an international team of producers and songwriters including ALYSA, A.G.O, Jacob Aaron, and JYONGRI, resulting in a high-energy dance tune packed with groove, emotion, and replay value. The music video was directed by maxilla, who also designed the single’s cover artwork. Set on a futuristic spaceship populated by AI robots, the visual follows SIRUP trapped inside a repetitive and emotionless routine before gradually rediscovering his freedom, emotion, and humanity. Expanding from personal emotion into a larger cosmic-scale narrative, the music video visualizes the concept of “un-generatable vibes” — impulses, desires, and emotional nuances unique to human existence. Alongside the release, SIRUP also announced that the vinyl edition of his 3rd album “OWARI DIARY” will be released on June 13. The special edition comes as a limited splatter-color 1LP featuring a gatefold jacket and exclusive A2 poster. At the same time, SIRUP is preparing to kick off his upcoming Asia tour, SIRUP ASIA TOUR 2026 “TURN THE PAGE IN ASIA”, beginning this June. The tour serves as the Asia continuation of SIRUP LIVE HOUSE TOUR 2026 “TURN THE PAGE” which was held across Japan earlier this year in support of “OWARI DIARY”. Carrying forward the next chapter of the “DIARY” story built in Japan, the Asia tour will feature full live band arrangements across every stop alongside exclusive collaborations unique to each city.

The Seoul show on June 13 will include Korean singer-songwriter eldon — known for viral track “Pink cheeks” — as the opening act, while acclaimed artist SUMIN joins SIRUP as a featured guest performer. The Taipei show on June 27 will feature genre-crossing artist Chih Siou, while the Bangkok show on July 4 welcomes James Alyn of former Thai R&B duo HYBS, who will perform an extended opening set following his own successful solo activities. With every city offering different musical collaborations and live highlights, the tour is shaping up to be one of SIRUP’s most ambitious international projects to date.
