HATCH By PGDX Opens New Digital Gateway For Filipino Game Developers
Ahead of its 2026 edition, PGDX officially launched HATCH, a new online platform dedicated to showcasing Filipino-made games and connecting local game developers with players, publishers, investors, media, and industry partners. Designed as a year-round extension of the Philippine GameDev Expo, HATCH serves as a centralized digital hub where independent studios and aspiring developers can present their games beyond the expo floor, increasing their visibility and expanding opportunities for collaboration and business growth. The platform allows visitors to discover a growing catalog of locally developed titles across multiple genres and platforms while learning more about the studios and creators behind each project. By providing dedicated developer profiles and game pages, HATCH aims to strengthen the discoverability of Philippine-made games both locally and internationally. As the Philippine game development industry continues to gain recognition on the global stage, HATCH represents another step toward building a stronger ecosystem for local talent. The platform provides developers with an accessible avenue to showcase their work while giving publishers, investors, content creators, and members of the media a convenient way to explore emerging projects from across the country. For aspiring developers, HATCH also serves as a source of inspiration by highlighting the creativity and diversity of the Philippine game development community. Whether users are looking for narrative-driven adventures, competitive multiplayer experiences, mobile titles, or experimental indie games, the platform offers a snapshot of the country's expanding creative landscape. The launch of HATCH aligns with PGDX's broader mission of supporting and promoting the Philippine game industry through initiatives that encourage innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth. By extending the reach of developers beyond annual events, the platform helps create continuous opportunities for discovery, networking, and industry engagement throughout the year. As more studios join the platform, HATCH is expected to become a valuable resource for anyone interested in Philippine game development, from gamers looking to support local creations to business partners seeking the next promising title or development team. Developers interested in showcasing their projects and visitors looking to explore Filipino-made games can learn more by visiting HATCH by PGDX.

PGDX 2026 Celebrates Community Through High-Stakes Cosplay Competition
PGDX has officially announced its highly anticipated 2026 Cosplay Competition, introducing a high-stakes format that combines online community voting with a massive live stage showdown. This year’s competition bridges the digital and physical worlds by putting the spotlight on the community. Through an upcoming online voting phase, fans and gamers will select the top ten (10) finalists. In a unique twist, all top 10 cosplayers are guaranteed a cash prize scaled according to their final online ranking. The excitement culminates live during PGDX 2026 as the top 10 finalists will take the main stage to perform live in front of thousands of gaming fans and a star-studded panel of judges including pop culture icons Myrtle Sarrosa, Roxanne Kho, and Loki Heart. Based on these live performances, the judges will crown the top three (3) overall winners who will walk away with the grandest cash prizes of the tournament. The PGDX organizing committee said, "We designed this competition to truly celebrate and reward the hard work of our local cosplay community. By securing cash prizes for the top 10 online choices, we ensure their digital effort is recognized. Bringing them to the PGDX main stage then gives them the ultimate platform to showcase their craftsmanship and performance to international game developers and a massive audience." Further details regarding the prizes and full competition mechanics will be released across all official PGDX social media platforms.

PGDX Celebrates New Milestones Through Music, Global Visibility, And ASEAN Recognition
Through original music, increased international visibility, and growing regional recognition, PGDX continues to elevate the Philippine gaming industry while showcasing Filipino creativity on a larger stage. Earlier this year, PGDX unveiled its first-ever official soundtrack “Level Up Sa PGDX”, marking another significant milestone for the event. Performed by Filipino artists Kyle Ralvin and Nalla Marquez, the original anthem celebrates the passion, innovation, and collaborative spirit of the local gaming community. The song was created to capture the excitement and energy that define the PGDX experience while highlighting the connection between gaming, music, and Filipino creativity. More than just an event theme, the soundtrack serves as a celebration of the country’s thriving game development ecosystem and the people driving its growth. PGDX also expanded its reach to a broader audience through a high-profile feature at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Displayed in one of the country’s busiest transportation hubs, the campaign introduced thousands of local and international travelers to the Philippine GameDev Expo, positioning the event as a key destination for gaming enthusiasts, industry professionals, investors, and tourists visiting the Philippines. The airport feature further reinforces PGDX’s vision of bringing Philippine game development to the global stage while attracting greater international interest in the country’s creative industries. PGDX 2026 is also acknowledged and recognized as an event included in the 2026 ASEAN Chairship Side Events Calendar, highlighting the continued growth and increasing prominence of the Philippine gaming and game development industry. The inclusion reflects PGDX’s ongoing commitment to showcasing Filipino talent, promoting creativity and innovation, and providing opportunities for game developers, creators, publishers, and industry professionals to connect and exchange ideas. It also reinforces the event’s mission of supporting the local game development ecosystem while fostering meaningful engagement with the broader Southeast Asian gaming community. As PGDX continues to grow, this milestone further strengthens its role as a premier gathering for the Philippine gaming industry, celebrating local talent while encouraging collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across the region. Adding to these achievements, PGDX has continued to gain recognition within the broader ASEAN gaming and creative industry landscape. Through collaborations with regional organizations, international speakers, game studios, technology companies, and industry partners, PGDX is helping strengthen cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Southeast Asia. These initiatives reinforce the Philippines’ growing reputation as an emerging hub for game development, eSports, cosplay, animation, digital art, and interactive entertainment.
