Global superstar Shakira co-headlined the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final Halftime Show alongside Madonna, Justin Bieber and BTS. For the first time in FIFA World Cup™ history, the final featured a halftime show, bringing together global artists for a singular moment at the intersection of sport, culture, and purpose, to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Shakira performed her global number 1 smash hit, “Dai Dai”, which is the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Shakira partnered with Global Citizen and FIFA to provide access to education for children in underserved communities with record royalties from “Dai Dai” being donated to the Education Fund, and Sony Music will match the first $250,000 raised with a donation. Additionally, Shakira is donating $1 from every ticket sold to her upcoming ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran‘ tour to the Education Fund. For the performance Shakira took to the stage wearing a custom Roberto Cavalli look by Fausto Puglisi, embellished with Swarovski crystals. Cavalli also dressed her when she performed at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. “Dai Dai”, Shakira's FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem featuring Burna Boy, climbs to No. 1 on the Spotify Global chart, becoming the No. 1 song in the world. The global smash has also reached No. 1 in 12 countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Sweden, and Belgium.
The success of “Dai Dai” has propelled Shakira to new career highs. She has climbed to No. 6 among the world’s most-streamed artists on Spotify and has become the first artist in Spotify history to reach No. 1 with songs in both English and Spanish – another landmark achievement in her unparalleled career. Shakira’s momentum continues across key music markets worldwide with “Dai Dai” currently charting inside the Top 5 on the midweek charts in Portugal, Canada, China, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the official music video for “Dai Dai” continues to dominate on YouTube, holding the No. 1 position on the platform’s global music charts. The video has amassed nearly 500 million views, and is expected to continue dominating pop culture conversations in the coming months. These latest achievements reaffirm Shakira’s status as one of the most influential artists of her generation, showcasing her extraordinary ability to connect with audiences across languages, cultures, and continents while continuing to redefine the global reach of Latin pop.
Following her overwhelmingly impressive performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final Halftime Show, she brought her record-breaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (LMYNL) World Tour across the United States with performances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center last July 20-21, UBS Arena last July 23 and Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall last July 25. The LMYNL tour was the highest-grossing tour globally of 2025 and highest-grossing tour of all-time by a Hispanic artist as reported by Billboard Boxscore. Building on the success of her record-breaking stadium tours in North and South America, Shakira will return to Spain for her European residency and is preparing for an extraordinary run of 12 stadium performances in Madrid at the specially built ‘Shakira Stadium’ throughout September and October. The highly anticipated concert tour is expected to be among the year’s biggest live music events.
