A decade into its existence, BRAVE Combat Federation has turned geographic expansion into one of the defining pillars of its identity. Since its launch in 2016, BRAVE CF has staged more than 100 events across 39 countries, pursuing a model that goes far beyond establishing a handful of high-profile destinations. Instead, the organization has spent its first 10 years building an international network designed to give athletes, partners, and supporters access to a truly global MMA platform.

That strategy has taken BRAVE CF into markets where mixed martial arts is still developing, often through partnerships with local federations and organizations. Rather than simply bringing an event to a new country, the promotion works to establish lasting connections that can help strengthen the sport's ecosystem and create pathways for regional talent. “From the beginning, BRAVE CF was created to break down borders in MMA. We did not want to build an organization that was confined to a few established markets. Our vision was to create a global platform where fighters from every region could have a pathway to compete on an international stage,” said BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid. Europe has emerged as a central pillar of that blueprint. BRAVE CF has held events in countries across the continent, creating a reach that spans Western and Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Baltic and Slavic regions. Its European map includes England, Northern Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Italy, and Spain. The expansion, however, does not stop there. BRAVE CF's international trail extends across the Middle East and Asia, with events in Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and China. The organization has also established a presence in Brazil and Colombia in the Americas as well as Morocco, Mauritius, and South Africa in Africa. “Every new market represents more than another event on a calendar. It represents relationships, opportunities and a chance to help develop MMA in places that deserve a global stage,” said Shahid.

As it celebrates its 10th year anniversary, BRAVE Combat Federation is entering its second decade with a distinction that underscores the magnitude of its international ambitions: the establishment of the largest European footprint among major MMA promotions. That breadth gives BRAVE CF a presence unmatched by its principal counterparts across the continent. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has reported events in 13 European countries while Oktagon MMA currently identifies four event markets. Regional outfit FNC has staged events across six European nations with further expansion into North Macedonia scheduled later in 2026. For BRAVE CF, however, the significance goes well beyond adding destinations to a map. Its continental strategy has centered on entering diverse MMA territories while creating avenues for homegrown fighters to step onto an international stage. Croatia became the latest addition when BRAVE CF 108 descended upon the historic Pula Arena last September 5, 2025, simultaneously bringing the organization to its 39th host country worldwide. “Europe has always been a crucial part of BRAVE CF’s vision because of the depth of talent, culture and passion that exists across the continent,” said Shahid. The organization’s strength has also been rooted in localization. Instead of relying exclusively on marquee names, BRAVE CF has cultivated relationships with regional organizations and federations, creating pathways for European prospects to emerge from grassroots competition and reach the international stage. Shahid added, “European expansion is not just about bringing events to new countries. It is about creating opportunities for local athletes, strengthening regional ecosystems and connecting them to the global MMA community.” That philosophy has enabled BRAVE CF to establish a formidable presence across Western, Central and Eastern Europe without diluting its international character.

Fighters from developing scenes can share the same platform with established competitors, giving local audiences a direct connection to the wider MMA landscape. Shahid added, “Every new European destination adds another piece to the global MMA ecosystem we are building. Our goal is to make MMA truly international, and Europe has been fundamental to that mission.” A decade on, BRAVE CF’s European map is more than a collection of destinations. It is evidence of an expansive philosophy that seeks to make MMA genuinely borderless. As BRAVE CF approaches its 10th anniversary with its European campaign has become a defining pillar of that worldwide strategy, its 39-country reach stands as a tangible expression of that philosophy. The promotion has spent a decade transforming international ambition into a sprawling competitive network, giving its global roster a stage that reaches far beyond traditional MMA strongholds. Shahid shared, “Our footprint is ultimately about the fighters. If we can give athletes from different corners of the world a route to compete internationally, then we are helping build something that can last well beyond our first decade.”
