BRAVE Combat Federation is set to make its highly anticipated return to Spain on May 31, 2025 with BRAVE CF 95 slated to take place at the Pabellón Santiago Martín in Tenerife. The organization announced aggressive expansion plans marking its third appearance in Spain and continues the organization’s record-breaking expansion as part of ‘The Year Of The BRAVE’ campaign. BRAVE CF made its Spanish debut with BRAVE CF 75 last November 18, 2023, establishing Spain as the 30th country to host a BRAVE CF event. Building on this success, the organization returned for BRAVE CF 89 last October 19, 2024 featuring a thrilling Super Welterweight title fight between reigning champion Kamal Magomedov and Brazilian contender Luiz Cado.

SBP Partners With Strong Group Athletics In Support Of PH Women's Basketball

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announces its partnership with Strong Group Athletics (SGA) in support of Gilas Pilipinas Women’s 3×3 and Gilas Pilipinas Women’s U23 3×3 basketball teams. This partnership aims to provide the Women’s 3×3 squads the support they need to train and compete locally and internationally for 2025. “We’re happy for the support of Strong Group Athletics. They’ve been an ally in promoting and supporting women’s sports and we’re looking forward to providing our Filipina ballers the training and competition they need to reach their full potential,” said SBP Executive Director Erika Dy.
“At Strong Group Athletics, we believe in the power of collaboration to elevate Philippine basketball. Partnering with the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas is a step towards fostering growth at every level — developing young talent, supporting our national teams, and strengthening the foundation of the sport we love. The Gilas Pilipinas Women’s 3×3 recently had back to back podium finishes. They won the bronze with the squad composed of Mikka Cacho, Camille Clarin, Jhazmin Joson, and Hazelle Yam at the Manila Hustle 3×3 Season 3 in Manila. Kaye Pingol stepped in for Yam in the squad that also finished third in Singapore for the Jumpshot 3×3 Season 2 competitions.
The squads will stay busy in the coming months with the Women’s 3×3. They will take part in the Got Game 3×3 competitions in Manila before heading back to Singapore for the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup. Capping the year will be the Southeast Asian Games where they will try to recapture the gold medal. The U23, on the other hand, will see action in the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League 2025 – U23 Asia-Pacific on May.

NCCT, Knowledge Channel Launch New Shows For Filipino Youth

The National Council for Children's Television (NCCT) and Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) are launching new TV shows under "NCCT Originals" that champion self-empowerment among Filipino youth. These are “Lakbay Isip”, “Tropa Peeps”, “OK AKO”, and “Friendship Puzzles” which will tackle pressing issues on mental health, sexual abuse, and self-empowerment that affect Filipino youth today. Funded by the National Endowment Fund for Children's Television (NEFCTV), the shows air on Knowledge Channel every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 4:00-4:30 pm.
KCFI President and Executive Director Rina Lopez emphasized the significance of this collaboration, saying, "These programs of NCCT Originals align with our mission to provide educational and enriching content that helps young people navigate life's complexities.” With a goal of making a meaningful impact, these four new programs offer diverse storytelling formats designed to resonate with young audiences while promoting positive values and raising awareness of critical social issues. “Lakbay Isip” is a live-action animated web series following a teenage artist navigating post-pandemic adolescence with the help of her imaginary alter egos while “Tropa Peeps” blends scripted drama and expert interviews to shed light on sexual abuse and exploitation among teenage boys. Meanwhile, “OK AKO” presents a light drama trilogy infused with comedy and spoken word poetry, tackling mental health struggles among youth, and “Friendship Puzzles” explores scientific insights on mental health intertwined with real-life stories, focusing on depression, anxiety, and suicide prevention.
