Since its inception in 2012, Star Telecom Alliance Resources (STAR) Inc. has been keen in bringing affordable and engaging devices that cater to the digital lifestyle needs of Filipino consumers. But now, the company behind the well-known Starmobile brand of mobile devices is slated to set a new standard in the local mobile phone industry.

STAR Inc. recently began its mobile phone production with the assembly of 20,000 units of Starmobile's Uno B206 feature phone in a factory in Calamba, Laguna where production operators can assemble at least one thousands units a day. This moves bares the company's commitment to contribute to the local economy and provide employment and livelihood opportunities to communities across different parts of the country.

The Starmobile Uno B206 makes a strong testament that demands for basic mobile phones with call and text functions are still thriving in the Philippine market, which makes Starmobile optimistic in providing options for consumers who want to cope in today's modern world even at a limited budget. The Uno B206 is a dual-SIM feature phone with camera, flashlight, FM radio, multimedia playback, expandable memory via microSD, and long battery life for up to two days which can be availed at Starmobile concept stores and authorized dealers nationwide.

With that in mind, I can say that the happy man is on its own way to become a potential maker of phones in the near future. Hopefully, STAR's move on mobile phone production could mark the start of bigger and better things in Philippine tech for future generations to embrace.
