Motorola, a subsidiary of Lenovo Mobile, recently launched its newest premium smartphone, the Moto Z2 Play, to the
Southeast Asian market and it is slated to become available throughout the

It
does seem to make any sense to me why its front camera has better lens than the
rear which can be good for taking better selfies, but the Moto Z2 Plus will not
be alone because it comes with new generation of Moto Mods which include the
following:
And here are the new generation of Moto Mods for the Moto Z2 Play. (Image Source: Techaeris/Motorola) |
-
Moto Gamepad - adds controller support to the phone. The pad can only last up
to 8 hours, but what makes the mod interesting is that it can be rechargeable via
the phone's USB Type-C port.
-
JBL Soundboost 2 - If I am right, these are portable speakers. But if you compare
it to its predecessor, it looks lighter and more compact.
-
Moto Style Shells with Wireless Charging - Don't let these interchangeable
shells fool you because they are capable of fast wireless charging.
-
Turbo Powerpack - contains 3490 mAh of extra battery life. I guess there is nothing
special about the powerbank mod.
What's
really intriguing is that those who have purchased any of the previously
released Moto Mods may use them on the Z2 Play considering that the mobile
device is backwards compatible.
Anyway,
Filipino consumers may have a hard time purchasing the new premium device as it
is expected to be priced within the price range of between Php25,000 to
Php30,000 when it becomes available soon. But, for the meantime, they may
consider getting a much more affordable smartphone that can suit their own digital
lifestyle needs like the Moto E4 Plus.

Now
available at Lazada and Moto PH concept stores nationwide, the E4 Plus sports a
5.5-inch HD display, rear and front cameras with aperture lens and LED flash,
Dolby® Atmos speakers, 4G LTE connectivity and 5000 mAh battery. Running on the
latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor
coupled with Mali T720 graphics, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage
which can be expanded via microSD card. Not bad for an affordable but not-so-midrange
dual SIM smartphone, right?
