I was pleasantly surprised when I lately learned from social media that
a business and commercial center situated at the heart of the National Highway
is staging a movie night where anyone can enjoy a marathon of not-so-exciting
indie flicks for free. At the same time, I was a bit worried that it is
possible for the event to be hindered by moderate to heavy rains brought by the
enhanced monsoon. Luckily, it pushed through and became a moderate success.
The movie night, in my mind, is literally one of the many interesting
events that got away due to some unforeseen and unexpected circumstances. But
looking at what I have seen on the commercial center's official Facebook page,
it looks like many people were able to brave the rains and refresh themselves
with a dash of big screen goodness. What really make the overnight indie showcase
a bit bizaare is that they were able to enjoy watching the films with free beer
and popcorn plus special entertainment during breaks, and I feel a little
jealous about it upon seeing such a revelation.
Unfortunately, I literally don't have the time and freedom to take a
little look at the event. On the other hand, Facebook is the only way for me to
look at what happened there. It was overwhelming to learn that it is held right
at the back of the commercial center which happens to be an avenue by the name
The Courtyard where anybody can relax, chill out and do business while having a
breath of fresh air. Honestly, I was very surprised that one of my favorite hangouts
during my childhood years come up with such an occasion considering that one of
its anchors is an event management company.
