The trial period will prompt customers to choose any of the three Go
Big home broadband plans that they could start with. Once their trial period is
over, they may opt to choose whether they are satisfied with the plan they
first choose or consider a bigger plan.
Starting at Plan 1299, these plans come with free access to HOOQ,
Netflix and Disney Channel apps as well as 100 GB of data dedicated for YouTube
streaming. Just visit the Globe Store in your area and submit one valid ID to
avail of this trial period. Take note that the trial period has redundable modem fees if they choose to discontinue their subscription within the first 15 days and is only applied to
DSL subscribers.
All Globe broadband plans are subject to the telco's fair use policy which
is implemented to reduce data traffic and control internet activities of mobile
and broadband users. Speaking of the policy, it has been recently updated that throttles
down the minimum internet speed once the allocated data is consumed from 30% of
the subscribed speed in previous iterations to 256 kbps as mandated by the
National Telecommunications Commission.
Although it is unclear whether it has something to do with the broken
subsea cable in Hong Kong which remains under repair, the new policy is set to raise
eyebrows for many broadband users. However, Globe assured that the new FUP only
affects DSL/ADSL and Wireless LTE users and not Fiber subscribers. Regardless,
you may have to check Globe's official website regarding the newly updated fair
usage policy, the new Globe At Home Go Big broadband plans, whether your area
is covered by Globe's strong reach and more.
