ABS-CBN's newest mystery musical game show I Can See Your Voice is
already set in becoming the newest weekend habit during late nights within the holiday
season as it began to captivate audiences on its first two episodes, beating
its rival weekend shows on national TV ratings and even becoming a top trending
topic on social media.
Its premiere episode last September 16, 2017 scored a high national TV rating of 19.5% which is nearly ten points higher than the 9.6% rating of GMA Network's Celebrity Bluff based on data from Kantar Media. It even gained strong viewership the next night earning a national TV rating of 15.3%. In the online world, Filipino netizens shared their delight on social media in guessing which among the secret songers are SEE-ngers and SEE-ntunados. The overwhelming positive feedback paved the way for the show's official hashtag #ICanSeeYourVoicePH to be among the top trending topics on Twitter worldwide.
For those who are relatively new to the show and the format, I Can See
Your Voice is the first game show localized by the number one television station
in the Philippines from South Korea considering that it has been seen and
eventually localized in more than 10 countries mostly around Asia. Hosted by
Luis Manzano, the show features six secret songers and a guest star who needs
to guess who among the contestants are SEE-ngers (one who can sing) and who
among them is a SEE-ntunado (one who cannot sing or sing in a tone deaf).
Helping the guest star make the cut are a group of SING-vestigators composed of
Angeline Quinto, Kean Cipriano, Alex Gonzaga, Andrew E., and Wacky Kiray who
will give their comments and opinions in every round.
The first secret songer to be eliminated will receive Php5,000 while
the second and third get Php10,000 each. Php15,000 await the fourth and fifth
to be eliminated. In the end, the last man standing will receive Php25,000 and
a chance to sing alongside the guest star in a duet. If the winner happens to
be a SEE-nger, he or she will automatically compete in It's Showtime's
"Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment.
