Battle Force Manila Is Beyond Celebration For Hoops Junkies

While many sports fans and enthusiasts set their sights on the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, the popular global shoe brand and NBA's official outfitter has thrown in the biggest party for basketball junkies and addicts.

Nike has mounted Battle Force Manila last December 2, 2017 at the Titan Love Court, Bonifacio Global City which was attended by hundreds of hoops fans around the Metro. The staging of the event is not only in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Nike's iconic Air Force 1 shoe but also a celebration of the growing basketball culture in the Philippines.

Headlining the series of activities lined up for the said occasion is a free-for-all five-on-five mini-tournament featuring some of the finest players from the local amateur and pro scene. It also features a slam dunk contest, a rap showcase, and a dance-off battle complemented by an all-access pass to the country's best as well as the full customization of the iconic shoe.

Here are the winners of these activities that were staged during Battle Force Manila:

BASKETBALL BATTLE: G-Force (Marky Mercado, Fran Asuncion, Jay Sacluti, Tim Cu, Nino Atilano, Nikko Montelibano)
SLAM DUNK COMPETITION: David Carlos
3-POINT SHOOTOUT: Bobby G
RAP BATTLE: Yo Gang (James Kevin Asis, Raymart Caraan, Jayson Jullanda)
DANCE BATTLE: The Empire (Melvin Calayag, Melvin de Guzman, Zhey Estolano, Angelito Delos Reyes, Justin David)

Included in the event were thrilling and enjoyable performances from Loonie, Abra, Jess Connelly, Mike Swift, Matt x AC and DJ Nix Damn P! as well as Auggie Fontanilla and Darling Kink personally crafted their own art masterpieces on the spot.
