Star Music Caps 2017 with Billionaire Milestone

Star Music, the music recording and production arm of ABS-CBN Corporation, officially capped out 2017 with a major milestone on the popular video streaming service YouTube as its official channel has already reached a grand total of one billion views. 

This new achievement would eventually make Star Music not only the third YouTube channel in the Philippines to reach the one billion mark, but also the first and probably the only music recording company in the country to do so. It also testifies the brand's continuing commitment to not only deliver fresh and entertaining content, but also to promote original Filipino music (OPM) across the online world in various platforms.

Star Music's official YouTube channel, which currently has 1.3 million subscribers, comprises of official lyric and music videos of songs performed by the brand's artists, recording sessions and other exclusive content. Headlining the most-viewed among the videos within the channel is the nostalgic OPM love song "Ikaw" by Yeng Constantinople with more than 68 million views followed by KZ Tandigan's rendition of Two Less Lonely People in the World garnering about 39 million.

Prior to the historic milestone, Star Music successfully staged the grand finals of Himig Handog 2017 where "Titibo-Tibo" interpreted by breakout OPM star Moira Dela Torre was hailed as the best song. Its official music video and grand finals performance both gained more than two million views on YouTube while its recording session video was viewed more than 5 million times and counting.
