Soul singer, composer and recording artist KZ Tandingan is making her own mark on the global stage in 2018 as she is set to go up against international music stars in the hit Chinese singing competition "Singer 2018" starting on February 9, 2018 (Friday).

Singer 2018 is highly regarded as the most popular reality singing tilt on Chinese television today and pits professional singers from different parts of the world against each other, vying to win through audience votes. These votes would determine the winner for every week as well as who will be eliminated in the competition. The most interesting part of the tilt is that for every elimination, there is a new challenger.

In the fifth episode of its ongoing current season, KZ was invited to participate in the competition as a new challenger following four consecutive weeks that saw British singer Jessie J as the audience favorite. She will go up against Taiwanese pop singers Angela Chang and Sam Lee on her first stint in the reality singing tilt. In case you didn't know, the current season has included Chinese-American pop star Coco Lee and Hongkong artist Sandy Lam.

KZ, who rose to fame in the Philippines after winning the local edition of The X Factor in 2012, is currently a mainstay of the Philippines' longest-running musical variety show ASAP which airs every Sunday on ABS-CBN and has released two albums under Star Music. She was dubbed in the local music scene as the "Soul Supreme" because of her chart-topping hits such as "Mahal Mo o Mahal Ako", "Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak", and Two Less Lonely People In The World among others.

She has also conquered television with her stints as a contestant in "Your Face Sounds Familiar" and a judge and mentor of "We Love OPM". The 25-year old singer performed in concerts held in the Philippines, Japan and Dubai which included her first major solo concert in Manila back in 2015 and an innovative digital interactive concert on ABS-CBN's digital music platform One Music PH last year.

KZ's debut on Singer 2018 will be aired on China's Hunan TV on February 9, 2018 at 8:00 pm. The season will cap off with a live finale on April 13th.
