Many
Filipino and Southeast Asian gamers were thrilled and awed at the intense and
exciting battles that have been transpired during the second season of the highly-intriguing
Valor Cup. In the end, after everything that has happened over an action-packed
weekend for gaming and eSports enthusiasts, it was the Philippines' own Clutchguild
which reigned supreme in both national qualifiers and regional finals and
eventually captured the prestigious trophy.
Clutchguild
kicked off its amazing weekend by conquering the Philippine National Qualifiers
for the much-anticipated Arena Of Valor (AOV) tournament held last May 26, 2018
at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium, besting Will New Day in a highly-intense Best Of
5 finals extravaganza. The following day, Clutchguild competed against teams
from Singapore and Malaysia in the Southeast Asia Regional Finals and won which
has earned the team a spot in the upcoming AOV World Championship to be held on July 16, 2018 in Los
Angeles, California with the top prize of US$500,000 at stake.
On
the other hand, gaming enthusiasts and Arena Of Valor fans have taken their own
time to visit the different booths set up around the Atrium during the Valor
Cup Philippine National Qualifiers while watching their favorites showcase their
prowess in the highly-popular mobile gaming marvel from Garena. Some of them were
given freebies and AOV exclusives after either participating in the games that
took place during the event or availing of the promos in selected booths.
