Whether
you are traversing around the city of Lipa or in any part of Batangas province,
a bowl of lomi would surely be one dish anyone need to indulge especially during
the rainy season. This Chinese-based noodle dish has been one of the most popular
and well-loved dishes being served in eateries and food stalls situated across
the province. Thanks to a post being shared by one of my friends on social
media, it looks like this staple dish is starting to become available in
somewhere that we did not expect and couldn't believe it is possible.
Barako
PH, a prominent lifestyle blog focusing on the province of Batangas, has
literally encouraged to try out the newest addition to the list of dishes being
served at Tengoku Ramen House which is located in one of Lipa's residential subdivisions
that is just a few walks from De La Salle Lipa, and it would have to be the infamous
Batangas lomi to my surprise. Learning about this development makes me thinking
that it is unbelievably impossible for a local Japanese restaurant to serve a
popular Filipino noodle dish that suits well for the rainy season, but it did
anyway.
Fortunately
in my case, the best thing about this new development is that a regular serving
of lomi happens to be the most affordable among every dish being served today
and that could delight those who want to indulge on something that satisfies
not only their taste buds but also their wallets as well. On the other hand, those
who want to make their lomi bowl special need no fret as Tengoku Ramen House
can let you choose which you want to add to your lomi such as seafood, grilled
pork or squid, calamari, mixed tempura or even the Filipino chicken inasal. Good
thing that the prices of special lomi dishes available do not exceed one
hundred pesos which is worth satisfying.
Oh,
I almost forgot to mention that Tengoku is also serving another Filipino-style
noodle dish called chami which is also a staple in eateries and lomi houses. Just
like lomi, you will also choose from a series of special chami dishes if you
consider something special. Whether you choose lomi or chami, they are well
worth one's budget and what we can expect from a local Japanese restaurant
named Tengoku which has been literally added to a special list of local
restaurants serving international dishes that add Filipino flavor to their
nature.
