Have you been to SM City Lipa where you were suddenly surprised to see a real-life replica of an SKF260 Marchetti plane in front of you while eating ice cream or walking around not knowing that it was there? Regardless of whether you've been there or probably missed it somehow, then don't be surprised since I think this served as an entrance to a three-day exhibit held at the mall's Event Center on September 14-16, 2018 in celebration of the 66th founding anniversary of the Philippine Air Force's Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command (PAF-AETDC).

With the theme "AETDC@66: Kaakibat sa Paghubog ng Ating Kasundaluhan, Kaagapay sa Pagbuo ng Doktrinang Kailangan", the Command partnered with the premier lifestyle mall in South Luzon to stage an exhibit showcasing some of the former's best and finest aerial assets which were shown to the public for three days. During the exhibit's simple opening ceremonies, AETDC's commander Maj. Gen. Arnold A. Mancita stated that the exhibit is aimed to increase public awareness on the Command. On the other hand, SM City Lipa mall manager Liza F. Dimaculangan articulated that the three-day public event is one of the mall's continuing efforts in providing a fun and enjoyable shopping and family bonding experience to LipeƱos and BatangueƱos alike.

As a token of appreciation, Maj. Gen. Mancita and Colonel Rene Diaz awarded a miniature plane to SM City Lipa which was wholeheartedly received by the mall manager herself and eventually witnessed by the public as well as top mall and AEDTC officials. Anyway, shoppers will have more reasons why SM City Lipa offers nothing but the best as it has recently opened three new dining options that would certainly cater to their tastes including two new outlets offering some of the finest Japanese dishes around and an Italian-inspired restaurant to boot. For more on these new food options and updates on upcoming deals and events, follow @SMCityLipa on Facebook and Twitter or visit www.smsupermalls.com.ph.
