McDonald's Philippines' first NXTGEN store situated in McKinley West (Image Source: ClickTheCity.com) |
McDonald's Philippines is literally taking Filipinos to the possible
future of fastfood restaurants in the Philippines with the opening of five new
and unique stores across Metro Manila including McKinley West, Kapitolyo and Robinsons
Galleria among others. Dubbed as NXTGEN, these stores have self-ordering kiosks
that provide more convenience for customers to order their favorite McDo meals.
Initially introduced in Japan, the self-ordering kiosks allow customers
to skip falling in line and order their meals at their own accord. Heck, they
can even customize their orders and pay for their purchases using a debit or
credit card. If you want to pay for your orders with cash, then go to the
counter and present your upfront payments to the assigned cashier. Anyway, McDonald's
Philippines is slated to open ten more NXTGEN stores throughout the remainder
of 2018.

highly-anticipated opening of probably the island's largest outlet shopping
destination, The Outlets at Lipa. Its opening was supposed to take place
throughout the summer of 2018, but it is officially announced that The Outlets
will have its first phase opening by December at least.
Many local and international retail and food brands have announced
their impending arrival or already opened prior to The Outlets' impending
opening as respectively stated in the destination's official Facebook page.
These include US Department Store, Lee, World Balance, Nike, Gilligan's, Taza
Mia Coffee, Burger Mania and Security Bank among others. Heck, it even opened the
Aboitiz Pitch, the first football field in Luzon to sport an artificial turf,
which has been a prominent stage for the Lipa Football League and the Luzon
edition of the Aboitiz Football Cup which were officially underway.
