Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines,
officially revealed its lineup of upcoming content that is set to premiere in
2019 on television sets, movie theaters, and even PCs and mobile devices during
the Family Is Love Christmas Trade Event which took place on November 27, 2018
at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent in Quezon City. Among them that are expected to be anticipated
by many Filipino pop culture buffs and drama lovers next year are the first
foray of the network's newest and grandest acquisition in a highly-intriguing
talent show and the return of its most bankable actresses on primetime television.
Leading
the sleuth of television shows that are sure to delight Filipino viewers next
year is "The General's Daughter" starring Angel Locsin who will play
as a soldier who is separated from her family at a young age. She will then be
used by her family's enemies to take them down. Joining Locsin in its
star-studded cast include veteran actors and actresses such as Albert Martinez,
Eula Valdez, Janice de Belen, Tirso Cruz III and Maricel Soriano. Also making
waves on primetime is the telenovela-style thriller "Mea Culpa" starring
Jodi Sta. Maria and "Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit" featuring new child
star Sophia Reola.
Meanwhile,
the Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid will be one of the judges in one
of ABS-CBN's newest reality talent search competitions "Idol
Philippines". "World of Dance Philippines", on the other hand,
is set to highlight aspiring and professional dancers and dance groups of all
ages with the winner to represent the country and compete in World of Dance
USA. The show will be hosted by Luis Manzano and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach
with Billy Crawford, Maja Salvador and Gary Valenciano as judges. "PBB
Otso", the latest installment of the Pinoy Big Brother franchise, will
continue to showcase the perseverance and true nature of the housemates inside the
Big Brother house while game show buffs should watch out for the return of
Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing.
