ABS-CBN
Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines,
has been recognized in the prestigious 2018 Anak TV Awards where it reaped 31
trophies for its programs and personalities for their consistent showcase of
good values and themes that are suitable for younger viewing audiences.
Seventeen
shows from the Kapamilya Network and its sister channels have been bestowed upon
them the iconic Anak TV Seal award which is given to various child-friendly
programs. These include ABS-CBN entertainment shows ASAP, Bagani, Home Sweetie
Home, Little Big Shots, "Maalaala Mo Maya", "Magandang
Buhay", Matanglawin, Wansapanataym, Team YeY and Your Face Sounds Familiar
Kids. Also included in the list of Anak TV Seal awardees for ABS-CBN are the
collegiate lifestyle magazine show UpFront airing on S+A; Knowledge Channel's
original educational programs Wow, MathDali and AgriCoolture; and "Maayong
Buntag Kapamilya", "Magandang Umaga South Central Mindanao", and
"Marhay Na Aga Kapamilya" from ABS-CBN Regional.
On
the other hand, several ABS-CBN stars were being hailed as Makabata Stars for
2018 for showing their exemplary work and ethics as role models for Filipino
children. Those who were given such honor include Robi Domingo, Joshua Garcia,
Luis Manzano, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Ms. Susan Roces, Liza Soberano
and Bantay Bata 163 founder and host of "G Diaries" Ms. Gina Lopez.
Meanwhile, the Anak TV Awards is keen in supporting an advocacy to spread knowledge
towards television and have family-oriented programs that are enjoyable for every
member of the Filipino family to indulge.
With
that in mind, six of ABS-CBN's top-rating shows namely FPJ's Ang Probinsyano,
It's Showtime, "Maalaala Mo Kaya", TV Patrol, Bagani and
"Magandang Buhay" were recognized as favorites to watch and enjoy the
most on Filipino households. The recipients of the Anak TV Seal were chosen
based on the votes of parents, teachers, industry professionals, government and
NGO officials, members of religious organizations and those from the Filipino youth
communities as well.
