The winners of the competition were chosen by an esteemed panel of judges headed by PhilPop Foundation chairman and 2018 National Artist For Music Ryan Cayabyab which included Maynilad COO Ramon Estrellado, Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairperson Liza DiƱo-Seguerra, OPM hitmaker Noel Cabangon, Ben&Ben main vocalist Paolo Guido, veteran songwriter Trina Belamide, and Viva South VP Verb Del Rosario. Through PhilPop 2018, the PhilPop Foundation has been keen on its commitment to boost the promotion of original Filipino music (OPM) in both the local and international scene. It was a year-long affair which kicked off with a songwriting boot camp but it was worth the wait for those who want to hear something new, fresh and delightful to their ears. PhilPop 2018 is highly regarded to have some of its songs interpreted in the native language of its songwriters from Visayas and Mindanao. Anyway, the songs of PhilPop 2018 are still available on YouTube and Spotify.
