For starters, Twin Lakes Hotel is owned by Global Estate Resorts Inc.,
a subsidiary of Megaworld Corporation, and you have to believe that it took
about Php1.5 billion for GERI to make the move on such an interesting buzzkill.
Moving on, it is operated by another Megaworld subsidiary Global One Hotels
Group which also manages its own homegrown brands of its kind which include
Belmont and Savoy. Combining with the Filipino-style brand of hospitality and
the expertise of a renouned local property giant, Twin Lakes Hotel is bringing
the old nostalgic European vibe not only to Batangas but to in and out of
Southern Luzon as well.
The hotel is situated within the integrated tourism estate development
of Twin Lakes, a premium property that seeks to refine the local tourism
landscape with its quaint commercial strip, romantic ambiance and
Instagram-worthy spots, unparalled views of the famous Taal Lake and Taal
Volcano, and a ten-hectare vineyard that is slated to bring Europe's revered
wine making traditions in our shores. And that vineyard is at the backyard of
no less than, if you guessed it right, Twin Lakes Hotel which is presumably the
first in the Philippines. Aside from the vineyard, there is also more of what
makes this buzzkill of a hotel one to enjoy the most of your Holy Week vacation.
Apart from the usual amenities that can be at par with other hotels and
resorts, there are two features that make Twin Lakes Hotel unique and special
for local and foreign travelers to enjoy. On one hand there is the Twin Lakes Shopping
Village where guests can shop, dine and unwind in a curated row of restaurants
and shops which includes what is regarded as "the most beautiful Starbucks
branch in the Philippines" par none. On the other hand, there will be a
chapel complementing the scenic ambience of nature and Tagaytay's cool climate
which should make a perfect wedding destination for couples.
Added to the overwhelming number of features and amenities is the fact
that it has already been recognized prior to its grand opening. Twin Lakes
Hotel was named the Best Hotel Development in the Philippines at the 2018 Asia
Property Awards in Bangkok, Thailand and the 2018 Philippine Property Awards for
its exemplary design, location and huge potential for tourism. As of the
moment, only 40 out of 122 rooms are being offered to the public but we should expect
all rooms to become available by February 2019.
Many hotel aficionados believe that Twin Lakes Hotel in Tagaytay City
will be a game changer in not only the Philippine hotel industry, but also in one
of the coolest cities in the country to enjoy and hang out considering that it
has been enjoying a fair share of guests every day. Despite facing tough
competition, Twin Lakes Hotel may be the right place for every tourist to be
added in their list mostly due to its unique offerings. Well, let's just wait
and see about that.
