Filipinos
who love Japan may not need to fly towards the Land of the Rising Sun just to
taste some of its delightful dishes because McDonalds Philippines is bringing
the flavors of the country that has the most powerful passport in the world to
our shores and taste buds through its newest offerings that can be availed and
indulged in all of its stores. Serving now on every McDo fastfood tray in the
country is its limited edition Japanese-inspired menu dubbed as the "Flavours
of Japan" featuring four freshly new offerings.
Let's
start your Japanese-esque journey with your choice of two Japanese-flavored burgers,
the Ebi Burger and the Teriyaki Samurai Burger. The Ebi Burger is a crunchy,
tempura-coated, shrimp-filled patty with a special sweet sauce and shreds of
lettuce, sandwiched between two fluffy sesame seed buns. On the other hand, the
Teriyaki Samurai Burger sticks to the conventional meat-filled patty but veers
towards Japan's popular teriyaki flavor with a sweet-soy glaze drizzled on top
and combined with mayonnaise and lettuce.
Since
a burger needs a side of fries, McDonalds' new Nori Nori Shake Fries is
seamlessly and literally inserting itself into the flavor boasting the distinct
sweet-salty flavor of nori seafood mixed into the fastfood brand's world-famous
fries. Finally to top off the Japanese-themed and inspired meal is the Strawberry Sakura Shake, a sweet
dessert-drink hybrid of strawberry and cherry soda topped with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream. These new offers can be availed either separately or through
a Sakura Meal which comprises of your choice of burger (Ebi or Teriyaki
Samurai), Nori Nori Shake Fries and Strawberry Sakura Float.
McDonalds
Philippines' Flavours of Japan as well as the Sakura Meal are available for
dine-in and take out on all McDo branches nationwide and via McDelivery, while
the Strawberry Sakura Float can be availed at all McDo Dessert Stations and
Fries and Dessert Stations across the country.
