It
has been more than one year since pop culture fans in the Philippines welcomed a
new breed of young and lively females who are set to make their own impact in
the local entertainment scene and that would be none other than MNL48.
Throughout the course of its inception, we have witnessed how the first
generation of 48 was selected from thousands of aspirants from different parts
of the country. Then we have seen them starting to gain strong traction and
become one of the most well-loved pop groups in the country today with those
coming and going. Now, on April 6, 2019, MNL48 is living the dream with the
staging of its first major concert.
Slated
to take place at the New Frontier Theater (formerly known as the KIA Theatre),
it is intriguing to think that the name of the concert is well appropriate to
the fulfillment of probably among one aspiring performer's dream list. It is
without uncertainty that MNL48's first concert will be full of music and fun
considering that the group will sing all of their songs featured in their upcoming
self-titled album which will be released soon under Star Music. Speaking of
their songs, you may have watched their official music videos on either YouTube
or MYX. If so, then you would be surprisingly awed at the numbers these gain and
the fact that they have been consistently trending on social media.
Those
who are following MNL48 have already knew that all of their singles - Aitakatta
- Gustong Makita, Taluyot Ng Sakura, Pag-Ibig Fortune Cookie, Palusot Ko'y
Maybe and Lucky Rabbit - are Filipino translations of some of the songs
popularized by its older sister group AKB48 but we live up to their delight and
enjoy every single bit of how they perform well in each music video. Prior to
their upcoming major concert, you may have watched their antics on the group's
official Facebook and YouTube channels and eventually seen some of them across
different parts of the country. Heck, you would swoop in inside MovieStars Cafe
in Quezon City and be able to meet and greet some of them if you have the
chance.
Yes,
my trubitastic friends, MNL48 continues to spread cheers and good vibes to
every Filipino millennial and millennial at heart through their antics and
music and their first concert, Living The Dream, is the culmination of its
first year of delight as it is set to welcome a new batch of young females who
will follow their footsteps and become new inspirations to young Filipina girls
everywhere. And speaking of Living The Dream, if you have learned the good news
from various sources, it looks like that MNL48's first concert will be one to
watch out for first in the month of April in the case of Filipino fans of
Japanese pop as three all-female Japanese pop groups will grace the stage and
perform as the event's front acts namely 7 Bridge, Fairytale, and
Sokubaku-Kanojo. This is one good reason why any Filipino pop buff should not
miss out on MNL48's first big concert to be performed by its first generation.
