More than fifteen years ago, millions of Filipino viewing households have glued to their television screens and witnessed how four mystical beings were able to save their world from dark magical forces. These have happened to be the original sang'gres of the well-loved Filipino fantasy drama series Encantadia played by Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Diana Zubiri and Karylle. Now, they have reunited as the Coven of Four in the highly-anticipated original Filipino film Mystified.

What can Filipino binge-watchers expect from this one heck of a reunion movie considering that it will be available for online and offline viewing on iflix? Well, here's the story. From the world of magic and witchcraft, four witches highly regarded as the Coven of Four are being sent in today's modern world to stop a witch named Hellga (Sunshine Cruz) from freeing the evil Lord Luvictus (Mustafa Elezali) who plans to control the globe. The only thing that can hinder them while fulfilling their mission of stopping evil is the personal issues that hound them including the limits of their powers, love and revealing their true identities to mortals.

With the guidance of an esteemed magic council led by Yang Ob (Dwight Gaston) and Devana (Cheska IƱigo), the Coven of Four consists of the following sorceresses: Althea (Sunshine), a healer and potions master who became a doctor in the mortal world and can unleash energy blasts; Adela (Iza), a teacher gifted with telekinesis who can also read people's minds; Helena (Karylle), a vlogger who has the power of time travel; and Kathalina (Diana), a mild-mannered events planner who is an atmoskinesser that has the ability to control the elements and fly.

If you've watched the film's official trailer above, you may have been impressed by its stunning visual effects and animation that is undoubtedly remarkable as well as the appealing costumes of the main four characters considering that they are made from leather. Of course, you would have known that it is filmed across different locations including Bulacan, Pampanga and even Batangas. Furthermore, since it will be the literal culmination of the Philippines' celebration of International Women's Month, Mystified will be centered around women empowerment.

Let's not forget its movie soundtrack headlined by the inspirational song "Simula" written and sung by Karylle and produced by her husband and Spongecola frontman Yael Yuzon. According to Karylle, the song's inspiration is her journey with her longtime friends throughout their respective lives starting from their Encantadia days. With these in mind, binge-watchers in the Philippines and across other countries in the world will definitely be mystified and follow the Coven of Four's battle against evil and the struggles of today's modern world.

Directed by Mark Reyes of Encantadia fame, Mystified is the first original Filipino production under Asia's leading online entertainment service iflix.
