I felt intrigued and curious when I heard the chorus of the theme song of ABS-CBN's longest-running and top-rating daily noontime show It's Showtime in Bahasa on MNCTV's official Facebook page upon surprisingly learning of its Indonesian version while waiting for the announcement of the first weekly winner of its new segment Bidaman. At the same time, I feel proud to see that the Philippines' number one noontime show today which has been my all-time favorite on the small screens is spreading happiness and good vibes to people outside the country especially to those living in the world's largest island nation. And on March 25, 2019, we have bore witness to the birth of It's Showtime Indonesia on Indonesian television.

The show's first international franchise in Indonesia, which is aired every Monday to Saturday at 2:00 pm Jakarta Time on Indonesian TV station MNCTV, is indeed a groundbreaking milestone in time for the upcoming celebration of its tenth year anniversary on October. This marks the first non-narrative format franchise buy for the Philippines' premiere media and entertainment company ABS-CBN Corporation and solidifies the network's position in the international market as a reliable content provider. Of course, It's Showtime follows the Philippines' longest-running noontime variety show Eat Bulaga in providing a different kind of entertainment to Indonesian viewing households.

Gracing the pilot episode of It's Showtime Indonesia were the show's creator and director Bobet Vidanes, business unit head Reilly Santiago and the rock-and-roll tandem of Itchyworms' Jugs Jugueta and Rocksteddy's Teddy Corpuz which have been part of the show since its inception in October 2009. Heck, some of the hosts of It's Showtime in the Philippines were able to meet their Indonesian counterparts upon sharing a live direct feed of each other from their respective studios. It quickly became a top trending topic on social media with many Filipino netizens praising and congratulating the show for this wonderful milestone and some literally having tears of joy while watching.

Since its inception as a morning show in October 2009 followed by its transition to noontime in February 2012, It's Showtime has been consistently winning in the ratings game and even surpassed the controversies and trends that have challenged their resiliency and their continuing commitment to make people happy. The show is committed to discover world-class talent and deliver high-quality Filipino entertainment that could appeal to the global market and the introduction of the likes of XB Gensan, Rachel Gabreza and The TNT Boys is its strong example to boot. As it continues to prepare for its 10th year anniversary, It's Showtime recently introduced its newest segments namely the compatibility game KapareWHO and Bidaman which is the show's own search for the next leading man.

On the other hand, It's Showtime Indonesia is hosted by an intriguing ensemble of the country's brightest stars which include singer-comedian Raffi Ahmad, model-turned-actress Luna Maya, renouned host Indra Herlambang, host-actress Chika Jessica, the Musbrothers twins and Filipino TV host and recording artist Leo Consul. The franchise carries some of the show's popular segments that have been enjoyed by Filipino viewers through the years such as Sine Mo 'To, Cash-ya! Kaya!, CopyCut, Ansabe? and the Bida Kapamilya talent competition.
