The Pasig Grindhouse Kings was able to escape a riveting encounter with the Risers in the Finals of the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3 League's final leg with the score of 19-7, thus becoming the league's inaugural champion taking home Php1 million cash and gaining the right to represent the Philippines in the upcoming FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters in Doha, Qatar. Leading the pack for the Grindhouse Kings' road to victory is Joshua Manzon, the country's top 3x3 basketball player, scoring 11 points in the game where most of which comes after an altercation with Risers' Chito Jaime midway while Taylor Statham and Troy Rike have scored five and two, respectively all around.
On the other hand, during the awarding ceremonies of the final leg, Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. president and CEO Ronald Mascarinas announced that Chooks-To-Go will be awarding Php200,000 cash to the 1Bataan Risers after a solid outing in the tournament. In the finals against Pasig, Alvin Pasaol led the way for the Risers scoring five out of seven points. But the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3 League is not literally over yet as it is set to host a bigger 3x3 event featuring the best teams from the Asia Pacfic region, the FIBA 3x3 Asia Pacific Super Quest, which happens to be the first to be sanctioned by no less than FIBA itself in the country's efforts to boost its status in the international basketball rankings.
Set to take place on April 6th and 7th at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall, Pasig Grindhouse Kings and 1Bataan Risers are set to compete against ten teams from other countries in the Asia Pacific which will include Ulaanbataar of Mongolia, Korean 3x3 Basketball League's Enerskin, Saigon Aces of Vietnam, Absolute 3x3 Basketball of Taiwan, Jakarta West Bandits, Tokyo Dime.exe, Australia's TSV Reading Cinema, Aotearoa of New Zealand, Anytours M1 of Hong Kong and China's SSLC. The champion of the Asia Pacific Super Quest will book their tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters on April 18-19, 2019 in Doha and the Challenger Series in Penang, Malaysia on May 12-13, 2019 plus US$20,000 cash.

The third and fourth place finishers will qualify to complete in the Challenger Series and take home US$7,000 and US$4,000, respectively. This exciting and thrilling Level 8 event will be a strong example of how will the Philippines prove to the region and the world that it can compete against the world's best in 3x3 basketball and Filipino basketball fans should look forward to it in spades.
