More Filipinos are starting to embrace the digital transformation of ABS-CBN
Corporation and enjoy its unique offerings that cater to their viewing pleasure
as the premiere digital properties of the premiere media and entertainment
company in the Philippines, ABS-CBN TV Plus and iWant, continue to rack up and
soar high that literally capped off the first half of 2019.
ABS-CBN TV Plus, the first commercially-released digital terrestrial
television service in the Philippines, has now sold eight million units in its
16 coverage areas in the country with more Filipino households making the shift
to a clearer and more enjoyable television viewing experience. Based on data from
Kantar Media's Q2 2019 Establishment Survey, most of ABS-CBN TV Plus' exclusive
channels have filled up the top ten list of most watched digital free TV
channels in the Philippines including Cinemo (3rd), YeY (4th), S+A (5th),
Asianovela Channel (6th), Movie Central (7th) and Jeepney TV (8th).
Last June, ABS-CBN officially launched the ABS-CBN TV Plus GO which is the
mobile version of the ABS-CBN TV Plus digibox where Filipino commuters can enjoy
watching their favorite TV shows on-the-go using their smartphones without worrying
about data charges since no internet connection is needed. The ABS-CBN TV Plus
GO is currently available in Cellboy, Celltime and The SM Store branches in Mega
Manila and is slated to be released in more areas nationwide in the coming months.
ABS-CBN's digital signal currently covers Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal,
Bulacan, Batangas, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Benguet, Pangasinan, Metro
Cebu, Metro Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.

On the other hand, ABS-CBN's online streaming service iWant has
recorded 100 million views for the month of June as it streamed word-of-mouth smash
originals such as MOMOL Nights and "Past, Present, Perfect?" as well
as hassle-free access to Kapamilya shows, movies and channels. It is set to
shake up its offerings for the month of July with Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3: The
Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken, the advocacy series Mga Batang Poz that
is based on the young adult novel of the same name tackling HIV awareness,
Little Big Trio documenting the journey of the TNT Boys, Enrique Gil and Liza
Soberano's blockbuster romantic drama flick Alone/Together now streaming on PPV
for Php30 valid for seven days, and a special edition plot-chaptering of the long-running
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. The service has been downloaded three million times on
Google Play and iOS App Store and currently has 12.3 million subscribers.
