The
Sega Genesis Mini is coming to Southeast Asia on September and Epicsoft Asia
Pte. Ltd. is bringing the compact 16-bit gaming system to Singapore, Malaysia,
Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines which is slated to become available worldwide
on September 19, 2019. Aiming to recreate some of the notable gaming experiences
from the past, the release of the mini system will be significant for Sega considering
that the Genesis gave birth to the likes of Sonic The Hedgehog during the
16-bit era of video games.
The
Sega Genesis Mini is 55% smaller than the original Sega Genesis 1 console and
comes with various replica ports and a sliding volume control. Apart from the
unit, the system will include two USB-connected controllers as well as HDMI and
power cables. The console will be pre-loaded with 42 classic games originally
made for the Sega Genesis developed by Sega's M2. These include the following:

Sega Genesis Mini is available via pre-order in all retail gaming outlets in the
Philippines and Southeast Asian countries with online pre-orders to be made available
