ONE Championship, the largest mixed martial arts organization and most valuable sports property in Asia, is making its return to the Ryogoku Kogukikan in Tokyo, Japan on October 13, 2019 for the staging of the promotion's historic 100th event dubbed ONE: Century. While waiting anxiously for the historic affair, I can assume that many combat sports enthusiasts would be awed and surprised at probably the most intriguing development so far prior to the event and it comes from no less than ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Sityodtong recently announced on its social media platforms, more particularly Facebook and Twitter, that ONE: Century will have a second full fight card to be taking place on the morning of the same day. Though the contents of the second fight card are yet to be announced in the coming weeks, this announcement would certainly create a big buzz in the world of mixed martial arts considering that ONE is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to combat sports with a huge roster of world champions and world-class fighters coming from different parts of the globe. The best thing about the second full fight card is that it will be aired live in the United States for the first time via TNT on Saturday night, October 12th at 8:00 pm ET (US time).

The main fight card of ONE: Century, which will be aired live in the Philippines on ABS-CBN S+A and S+A HD and simultaneously streamed on iWant Sports, ONE Championship's official YouTube channel and the ONE Super App, will be headlined by two epic and highly-anticipated clashes: Brandon "The Truth" Vera versus two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang of Myanmar for the ONE Lightweight World Championship and the rematch between defending ONE women's atomweight world champion Angela Lee of Singapore and ONE women's strawweight world champion Xiong Jing Nan of China. It will also feature the finals of the ONE World Grand Prix across three different divisions and a clash of showdowns between fighters from two renouned Japanese MMA promotions, Shooto and Pancrase.

Prior to the staging of its historic affair, ONE Championship is officially hosting the World Martial Arts Week on October 5-6, 2019 where fans and enthusiasts can interact with their favorite combat sports athletes and even watch them in action with their friends and loved ones on a spectacular weekend. Included in the said event are ONE Street Fighter V Tokyo Challenge and ONE Tekken 7 Tokyo Invitational featuring some of the finest and renouned fighting game players from Asia and around the world. With these on hand, I bet that any combat sports lover would expect more from the home of mixed martial arts in Asia housing different styles of fighting from all around the world.
