iWant, the premiere online video streaming service in the Philippines,
explores the joys and pains of being a single mother, the tortures of
unrequited love and the experiences of Holocaust survivors who have found home
in the Philippines to open the new year as more new original content continues
to delight Filipino binge-watchers with different stories that can relate to
their own experiences in everyday ordinary life.
Kicking off 2020 for iWant are Ampalaya Chronicles and My Single Lady
which can now be streamed anytime, anywhere on PCs and smartphones. Based on
the popular spoken word poetry Ampalaya Monologues, the Ampalaya Chronicles anthology
series features more highly relatable love stories laced with hugot, disappointment and bitterness and
opening them is headlined by Khalil Ramos and Elisse Joson. On the other hand, in
My Single Lady, Jodi Sta. Maria plays as a single mom who is struggling to choose
between Ian Veneracion and Zanjoe Marudo with Asia's Songbird Regine
Velasquez-Alcasid in a special cameo role as Jodi's adoptive mother and a
Regine impersonator.
In celebration of the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of
the Victims of the Holocaust, iWant dives deeper into the stories of hope during
a time of need in the documentary drama The Last Manilaners which is about the
last living Jewish refugees in the Philippines. The Last Manilaners will become
available on the service on January 27th to coincide with the special honorable
occasion. Afterwards, iWant officially announced that it will soon drop the
critically-acclaimed historical film Quezon's Game which revolves around former
late Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon's rescue of more than a thousand
Jewish people seeking refuge from the Holocaust.
Apart from these new offerings, users can now enjoy the original series
Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3: The Untold Story Of Josephine Bracken starring
Eugene Domingo with its movie cut version now available on the platform. Meanwhile,
following the release of the second season of "Bagman" last year,
iWant gears up to extend the adventures of some of its well-loved characters
from Call Me Tita and Mga Batang Poz with the second season of these series already
in the works. Furthermore, binge-watchers can also expect more original content
flavored with new pairings and daring narratives in the coming months with I AM
U starring Julia Barretto and Tony Labrusca, I starring Zanjoe Marudo and Lovi
Poe, Yassi Pressman and Sam Milby's The Tapes and Diether Ocampo and Nathalie Hart's
