The Tapay family led by its patriarch Joselito wanted to bring something new and unique in Lipa City which is on the verge of potentially becoming a top lifestyle hub in Southern Luzon probably due to its enhanced commercial landscape within the city. February 20, 2020 was a red-letter day for the Tapay family as it marked the hotel's grand opening after four years of rigorous planning, conceptualization, construction and developing an organization which is well worth the wait. Its grand opening began with a motorcade followed by a thanksgiving mass, blessing of hotel facilities and a simple ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Mr. Joselito Tapay himself. A simple opening program was then held inside the hotel's Barako Hall which was graced by family friends, business partners, local media and even Lipa City Mayor Eric B. Africa. The event culminated with the ceremonial turnover of the hotel's key to the city and an exclusive tour for guests around the hotel's amenities.

Located right beside Robinsons Place Lipa, JET Hotel is designed to be the essential place for business meetings, conveniences, seminars, workshops and social events.
