2K Games is set to release three different gaming compilations featuring the said major franchises to the Switch although some of the games within these collections need to be downloaded within the system to play. These are the BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection and XCOM 2 Collection. These compilations include games that are originally released for the PC as well as previous and current generations of PlayStation and Microsoft home consoles plus downloadable content (DLC) for those who want to dive deep through these compilations.
BioShock: The Collection includes the original BioShock game, its sequel BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite and additional DLC which lets you enter the expanded science fiction multiverse while Borderlands: Legendary Collection features the original game, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which covers the story of the villain Handsome Jack and the origins of the looter shooter franchise plus add on content. On the other hand, the XCOM 2 Collection includes the base turn-based strategy game plus the War Of The Chosen expansion and four DLC packs. The collection is said to be an essential fit for the Switch's portable mode.
These three compilations are available for pre-order via Amazon if you want a physical copy. For Filipino gamers who are interested, you may have to visit Datablitz (www.datablitz.com.ph) and Game One PH (www.gameone.ph) online and check if they can be pre-ordered as well. BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection and XCOM 2 Collection for the Nintendo Switch will be tentatively available on May 29th though Nintendo noted on the presentation that it is subject to change due to the threat of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic. In any case, please note that these three compilations from 2K Games are just some of what is announced at the Nintendo Direct presentation which can be watched in full below. There are other upcoming games that will keep everyone busy even in the most unusual times such as Burnout Paradise Remastered and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.
