A documentary about an Aeta teacher who treks to her class for four to five hours in Sitio Tapakan, Capas, Tarlac to teach Aeta children took top honors and was hailed as the grand winner in Knowledge Channel's third annual Class Project Intercollegiate Mini-Documentary Competition. Produced by the students of University of Makati, "Titser Gennie" follows the journey of Gennie as she pursues her dream of becoming a licensed teacher.

The documentary developed by Eudel Ayuban, Leda Razel Miranda, Yvonne Clarisse Dalusong and Jean Pearl Sylvestre beat 44 other entries from different schools, colleges and universities nationwide in this year's mini-documentary competition and will soon be aired on Knowledge Channel's Winners' Festival while the producers will receive a grand cash prize of Php30,000. Knowledge Channel's Class Project, now on its third year, aims to give students a chance to hone their own professional filmmaking skills and showcase them to a wider audience.

The 3rd annual Class Project intercollegiate mini-documentary competition saw University of Makati as its big winner considering that its other entries have also taken the next top two spots where the student documentaries behind these entries take home Php20,000 and Php10,000, respectively. In second place is "Kulitan" by Rosendo Rone Jr., Ederwin Capungpol, Larissa Joyce Adornado, Raymond Gonzalez and Krisha Gondonas which tackles the lost art of the Kapampangan writing system, while completing the top three is "Mga Batang Anipa" (created by Alundra Villanueva, Noel Carlo Francisco, Ederwin Capungpol, James Claude Fernandez and Eloisa Jane Palermo), an entry about four students who go to school with their rubber slippers and using "salbabida" to cross the river.

On the other hand, making the top ten documentary entry finalists in which the students behind them will receive consolation prizes are the following: "Binhi" (Palawan State University), "City Painted In Red" (Saint Louis University), "Ang Munting Karera Ni Vash" (University Of Makati), "Iskolar Ng Merkado" (Palawan State University), "Hiling Sa Dapithapon" (Lyceum Of The Philippines University), "Aruga" (Urdaneta City University), and "Hachiko Ng Lapu-Lapu" (Cebu Normal University). The top ten finalists, including the top three winning entries, are slated to be aired on Knowledge Channel (ABS-CBN TV Plus channel 7, SKYcable channel 5, SKYdirect channel 12) and will eventually become available on iWant.

Class Project Intercollegiate Mini-Documentary Competition is a joint project of ABS-CBN, Knowledge Channel and Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) which aims to encourage students to submit relevant mini-documentaries on the lives of Filipinos communicating the values of social justice, passion to serve, commitment to holistic learning, integrity and nationalism. It is designed to provide students with equal opportunity to showcase their work and contribute to the Filipino youth's depiction of Filipino values.
