The highly-documented 10-episode documentary series "The Last Dance" is slated to premiere on the global streaming service Netflix on April 20, 2020 (Monday) with two new episodes weekly. Directed by Jason Hehir ("The Fab Five", "The '85 Bears", "Andre The Giant"), the series chronicles one of the greatest icons and most successful teams in sports history - Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls - and features never-before-seen from the 1997-1998 season as the team pursued its sixth NBA championship in eight years.

In the fall of '97, Michael Jordan along with Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf and head coach Phil Jackson have agreed to let an NBA Entertainment film crew to follow the team's journey all season long resulting to a remarkable player and a celebrated team which will be revealed to basketball fans more than two decades later. As the series weaves its way towards a tumultuous 1997-1998 NBA season, viewers will also be transported to how it all began - Jordan's childhood roots, the Bulls' dire circumstances prior to Jordan's arrival, how the team was built after drafting Jordan in 1984, and the struggles that eventually led to the team's first NBA championship. Taking the audience to the Bulls' first five NBA championships, the series also allows viewers to experience the off-court challenges, struggles and triumphs that are part of a culture-shifting phenomenon created by Jordan and the Bulls.

It is an unlikely scenario that serves as a fascinating backdrop for the inside story of the 1998 championship run with extensive profiles of head coach Phil Jackson and Jordan's key teammates - Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Steve Kerr - as well as dozens of current-day interviews with rivals and luminaries in basketball and beyond. Furthermore, the tension and conflict that has defined the said run are very much on display all throughout.
