In line with its efforts to keep families safe and connected at home during the varying degrees of quarantine imposed across the country, leading telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT announced the extension of its free SpeedBoost for Home Fibr subscribers and free NDD calls for postpaid users until May 31, 2020.

Aside for those in highly affected areas within Luzon, the extension has been expanded to cover and benefit PLDT Home Fibr customers in Visayas and Mindanao. The free SpeedBoost gives PLDT Home Fibr customers a minimum speed of 25 Mbps, which is beneficial to homes with multiple internet users and thus require higher bandwidth to simultaneously access different web and streaming sites. Meanwhile, the free NDD calls enable families to use their landline phones to call their friends and relatives in different parts of the country.

Subscribers of PLDT Home WiFi and PLDT Home Volume-Based plans will continue to have free access to verified government and news websites for the latest news and updates on current issues in the Philippines and around the world as well as on the COVID-19 threat in the Philippines. These include the Department of Health (DOH), National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), News5, The Philippine Star (Philstar.com), BusinessWorld, CNN Philippines, ABS-CBN News and GMA News Online. On the other hand, iflixVIP access for subscribers of PLDT Home Fibr Plan 1899 and above has also been extended until the end of May allowing families to enjoy thousands of movies and television shows available on iflix for their bonding activities while staying at home.

PLDT Home has also stepped up its efforts to help ease the financial burden of many families with the implementation of its payment extension program and the suspension of customer disconnections during the enhanced community quarantine period. PLDT Home postpaid customers will be automatically enrolled to a six-month installment payment scheme for all their bill balances as of April 30, 2020. This allows them to conveniently settle their bills for six months from May to October 2020. Their updated statement of account will reflect the installment amount and the monthly service due for the corresponding billing month. Furthermore, PLDT Home subscribers can enjoy 20% or up to Php100 cashback if they conveniently settle their March to May 2020 bills on time using the Paymaya app. They need to check their accounts via the MyPLDT-Smart app to conveniently manage and track their billings.
