The participants in the competition are the following: Becky Yeung (Hong Kong), Karl Zarate (Philippines), Linh Tran (Vietnam), Sasha Ka (Thailand), Poova Sri Rama (Malaysia), and Tyen Rasif (Singapore). Across the progressive eliminarion, these participants will undergo a series of physical and mental challenges that can make or break them all the way until the final showdown where the winner will perform at the Asian Dream concert tour with Michael Bolton slated to be held next year. Throughout the competition, the contestants are mentored by guest celebrities from across the region that will give them the opportunity to understand what is needed on their journey to become a professional singer. Motor Image, a subsidiary of Tan Chong International Limited and the distributor of Subaru cars in the region, is committed to develop Asian talents who have the tenacity, passion and drive considering that it has previously sponsored several seasons of Asia's Next Top Model and commissioned Bolt Of Talent which was hosted by Bolton and Amon last year. On the other hand, the show is set to be aired on AXN, a regional pay TV channel that is redefining entertainment for discerning audiences through its sleuth of world-class television programs such as The Amazing Race and Asia's Got Talent.
One of the creators and resident judges of the show, the multi-Grammy award-winning legendary artist Michael Bolton has sold more than 65 million records worldwide including nine #1 singles, ten Top Ten albums, and over two dozen songwriting awards. He was also a viral internet sensation when the Saturday Night Live's "Jack Sparrow" video garnered more than 200 million views on YouTube. Alongside Bolton, Asian Dream boasts a veritable lineup of established Asian artists and entertainers. Guiding the contestants in rising up to the challenge of becoming well-rounded, versatile and captivating performers alongside Bolton is Morisette Amon, who has won more than 30 awards since joining the world of show business at age 14 including Artist Of The Year and Pop Song Of The Year.
