PBA Basketball Slam 2020 Arcade Edition Coming To Steam This August

Filipino-based video game developer Ranida Games has made a name for itself in the gaming world when it released its first official game on smartphones, the patriotically-esque fighting game Bayani where you take the role of one of your favorite Filipino heroes and compete against other heroes using your chosen hero's prowess and skills. It also happens to be known for a unique mobile basketball game that Filipino basketball fans would remind it of NBA Jam and that would be PBA Basketball Slam 2020.

Now, Ranida Games has officially announced that there is a PC version of the hit mobile basketball game and it is slated to come on Steam within the month of August or later, if possible, as an early access title. The Steam-exclusive PBA Basketball Slam 2020: Arcade Edition, according to Ranida Games CEO Ben Banta, will allow more players to enjoy the game and, at the same time, allow the developer to enhance it even further with future updates sporting forthcoming features and new characters in any case. "With the success of the mobile game having more than 10 million downloads worldwide, we've been able to polish the user interface and experience for the PC version, and more features will be added as we go through development," Banta added.

As the name aptly states, PBA Basketball Slam 2020: Arcade Edition features arcade-styled basketball play featuring prominent, renouned and well-loved players from no less than the premiere pay-to-play professional basketball league in Asia, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is a 2-on-2 full court basketball game with exaggerated gameplay elements that mostly bear similarities to the games before it such as NBA Jam and Street Dunk. With keyboard and controller support, the PC version of the hit mobile basketball game will allow up to four players to compete either locally or via Steam's Remote Play Together feature.

Although there is no roadmap or expected length of time for early access as of this writing, PBA Basketball Slam 2020: Arcade Edition promises to deliver an exhilaratingly fun and intriguingly exciting arcade-esque basketball gaming experience that will keep you happy and entertained while it is unsure if the PBA will resume its current regular season or withdraw completely until next year.
