LIMA Land Inc., a subsidiary of the Aboitiz Group, officially announced the expansion of the LIMA Estates in the Batangas province in order to meet the rising demand for industrial and commercial spaces in the CALABARZON region. More than 100 hectares are slated to be added to the 700-hectare property in the next two years to accommodate more industrial locators, business process outsourcing (BPO) companies, office buildings, dormitories, schools, hospitals, hotels and civic centers.
LIMA Estates is anchored on LIMA Technology Center - considered to be the largest privately-owned industrial park in the Philippines and home to 124 domestic and international locators and about 55,000 employees - situated between the borders of Lipa City and Malvar, Batangas and its locators include The Outlets At Lipa, LIMA Exchange and LIMA Park Hotel. According to Aboitiz Integrated Economic Centers first vice-president Rafael Fernandez De Mesa, the expansion is slated to be completed by the third quarter of 2022 which will push LIMA to become a full-pledged smart city supported by a complete infrastructure ecosystem and the latest digital technology innovations and provide more than 20,000 job and career opportunities for the residents of Batangas and nearby provinces as well.
LIMA Estate hosts mixed-use estate development that promotes the integration of work and life through thoughtfully-planned amenity spaces, sustainable infrastructure and complementary commercial and residential components. The estate also houses retail brands, restaurants and the world-class athletic stadium The Aboitiz Pitch. Residential and lodging options are integrated across the township with LIMA Park Hotel, The Villages At Lipa, Campo Verde, and Summer Hills. It has its own transport terminal within the LIMA Exchange with proximity to schools like the Edustria Senior High School by Far Eastern University (FEU) and the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP). It is situated near the Batangas Port, the second most important international seaport in Luzon.
With the LIMA Estates expansion on the horizon, LIMA Technology Center is expected to attract more investors to join newly-established businesses such as Japanese manufacturing company Leaden Co. Ltd. which produces wire harness products for construction and industrial machinery and supplies other big companies such as Yamaha and Kotatsu. It has operations in the United States and China. Slated to begin construction on December 2021 and start operations on March 2022, Leaden joins a highly-impressive lineup of global companies at LIMA which includes Epson, JT International, Littlefuse and Yamaha. On the other hand, Philippines TRC Inc. - a metal processing business that focuses on painted products, resin molding and assembly - will expand its operations by next year.
