AXN, highly regarded as the home of Original Productions in Asia, has not let challenging times brought about by the ongoing threat of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic slow down its momentum as it has launched three new Original Productions throughout 2020 and eventually teased several more coming in the pipeline for 2021. This not only speaks of the channel's commitment to continue bringing relevant and engaging programs to audiences in the region, but also serves as a clear and solid testament to the creative and production power of KC Global Media Asia which also owns and operates Animax, ONE and GEM.

"We are cognizant of the impact of the pandemic in everyday lives. More than ever in these challenging times, AXN is one with our audience and, with our partners, in keeping fortitude and fresh spirits up by delivering fresh, top-quality programs that engage and inspire," said KC Global Media Asia Vice-President and Head Of Revenue In Sales Avani Bhanchawat. With a track record built over the years of producing and broadcasting Original Productions made for Asia, AXN has earned the trust of industry partners across the region and it comes as no surprise that AXN All-Stars, Asian Dream and Project GO which were all launched in 2020 are all projects of collaboration.

* AXN All-Stars - a virtual extravaganza made possible through the collaboration of AXN and some of the biggest names that the channel has to offer including David Foster, Anggun, Michael Bolton, Mel C, Cosentino, Cyril Takayama, Junior New System, Gerphil Flores and Afgan among many others. It is an unprecedented visual and aural cornucopia curated to lift everyone's spirits in what has to be the greatest celebration of hope yet in these challenging times. Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in Indonesia, AXN All-Stars made its digital premiere held last November 28 on AXN Asia's official Facebook and YouTube channels with a linear telecast on AXN last December 1 and 2.

* Project GO - a brand-new business reality series sponsored by GoDaddy.com that puts Php1 million at stake for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to make their business ideas a reality. Premiered last November 19 and aired every Thursday on AXN and AXN Asia's YouTube channel, the show called for aspiring Filipino entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas in an Online Open Auditions last August and was shot on location in Metro Manila the next month in the midst of lockdown. With the limitations of mass gatherings imposed by the government, KC Global Media Asia had to be creative in bringing the cast together through innovative hybrid filming that saw mentors Maggie Wilson, Bea Cupin and the Tung Brothers on set working in real-time with GoDaddy's Tina Shieh as well as the shortlisted contestants calling in from all over the Philippines.

* Asian Dream - a seven-episode reality singing competition aired on AXN since August and produced by Subaru Asia. Shot prior to the pandemic, the show featured six contestants from across Southeast Asia coming together to refine their craft under the mentorship of award-winning singer, composer and music producer Michael Bolton as they compete to become the next rising star in Asia. The show was co-hosted by "Asia's Phoenix" Morisette Amon and is won by Tyen Rasif in Singapore who has since become Subaru Asia's newest ambassador and is slated to join Bolton in his upcoming Asian Dream concert tour.

The lineup of original productions literally leaves no question as to the dedication and ability of AXN Asia, and of KC Global Media Asia as a whole, to create, curate and deliver quality content and, more importantly, to do so while adapting to the changing times. In fact, KC Global Media Asia teases a full pipeline of new series in development set to launch in 2021 not only on AXN but across other leading channels owned by the network and in a wider variety of formats than what has been previously done. At least two are expected to hit the small screens, and even non-linear platforms, in the first quarter of the new year alone. "KC Global Media Asia is fully committed to continue the hardwork, and we look forward to working with partners who wish to collaborate and be united with us in sustaining the mission to reach viewers in Asia with even more outstanding content moving forward," Bhanchawat added.
