Star Cinema (ABS-CBN Films Productions Inc.) is taking us back to the time when the iconic Salazar siblings Teddie, Bobbie, Alex and Gabbie deal with challenges and heartbreaks in the highly-anticipated film "Four Sisters Before The Wedding". The sequel to the 2013 blockbuster hit "Four Sisters And A Wedding" is topbilled by promising young actresses Alexa Ilacad as Bobbie, Charlie Dizon as Teddie, Gillian Vicencio as Alex and Belle Mariano as Gabbie.
Helmed by blockbuster filmmaker Mae Cruz-Alviar, the prequel is set ten years ago before the lives of the Salazar siblings in the original movie where Teddie, Bobbie and Alex are in college while Gabbie is in high school, and their youngest and only male sibling CJ (played by Clarence Delgado) is in elementary. Their blissful innocence and family unity will be tested when they discover that their parents - Mama Grace (Carmina Villaroel) and Papa Caloy (Dominic Ochoa) - are once again on the verge of separation. They've grown enough to know that a biscuit offering will not be enough for them to solve their parents' marital problems this time around.
In the original movie directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the Salazar sisters were portrayed by Bea Alonzo (Bobbie), Toni Gonzaga (Teddie), Angel Locsin (Alex) and Shaina Magdayao (Gabbie) while Mama Grace and CJ were notably played by Coney Reyes and Enchong Dee, respectively. Papa Caloy, on the other hand, passed away before the original movie was shown which literally pushed Bobbie to live and work abroad. First announced in February, "Four Sisters Before The Wedding" is Star Cinema's early Christmas offering amidst the continuing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. Joining the cast are Irma Adlawan, Kakai Bautista, Cai Cortez, Jameson Blake, Joao Constancia, Pinky Amador, Minnie Aguilar, Boom Labrusca, Jenny Miller and introducing Jeremiah Lisbo and Gigi De Lana.
Distributed by CineXpress, "Four Sisters Before The Wedding" streams worldwide starting December 11, 2020 via KTX.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV and Cignal PPV. Moviegoers can catch the film physically in selected SM Cinemas nationwide on December 11-13 and 18-20 as well as in CityMall Cinemas starting December 11 with strict health and safety protcols in place for a safe, enjoyable movie watching experience in cinemas. On the other hand, Filipino movie buffs can now binge-watch "Four Sisters And A Wedding" on Star Cinema's official YouTube channel until December 27 as part of the Christmas edition of Super Stream in the Philippines.
