Christmas greetings will be made more meaningful this year with the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.'s Tulong e-Christmas Cards now available online on Lazada and Kumu, enabling everyone to spread light and joy not only to friends and loved ones, but also to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the recent natural disasters. The digital greeting card can be given as a virtual gift this Yuletide season while the donations coming from purchases of these cards will benefit families affected by the typhoons.
To get an AFI Tulong e-Christmas Card via Lazada, simply make a donation through the AFI Sagip Kapamilya Tulong-Tulong Sa Pag-Ahon Php200.00 Donation Voucher at the AFI Flagship Store. Once the donation is validated, the donor will then receive the digital greeting card via the app. On the other hand, users of livestreaming app Kumu can watch any of the partner livestream shows, click on carousel, choose the Tulong-Tulong Sa Pag-Ahon Php200.00 Donation Voucher and complete the transaction. A confirmation email will be sent with the Tulong e-Christmas Card as attachment. Participating livestream shows on Kumu include "Bawal Ma-Stress Drilon" (Mondays, 8 pm), "Hanz Swerte, Hanz Saya" (MWF, 10 am), "Lakas Tawa" (MWF, 11 pm), "Umamin Ka Na" (Wednesday, 7 pm), "Karerin Natin" (Thursday, 10:30 am), and "Seen Zone" (Mondays, 1 pm; MF, 10 pm) among others on the FYE (For Your Entertainment) channel.
The AFI Tulong e-Christmas Cards project is part of ABS-CBN Foundation's "Tulong-Tulong Sa Pag-Ahon" public service campaign which was launched in November and aims to raise funds for the ongoing relief operations of Sagip Kapamilya in areas devastated by typhoons Quinta, Rolly, Siony, Tonyo and Ulysses. An estimated 800,000 families were said to be heavily affected by the consecutive areas where various parts of the country were flooded and buried in mud. As it has always been done in previous calamities, Sagip Kapamilya immediately responded by bringing relief goods and hot meals to typhoon victims in Albay, Aurora, Batangas, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Isabela, Makati, Marikina, Nueva Ecija, Oriental Mindoro, Pampanga, Quezon Province, Quezon City and Rizal.
