Together As One In 2021: ABS-CBN Unveils New Offerings For 2021

ABS-CBN, the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines, will remain "together as one" in offering light and joy to Filipinos all over the world in 2021 through the new shows, movies, songs and concerts that it will produce and be released on multiple media platforms as shown during the trending "Ikaw Ang Liwanag At Ligaya: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2020" last December 20, 2020.

Among the new programs to watch out for in 2021 on Kapamilya Channel (SKYcable SD channel 8 and HD channel 167, Cignal channel 22), Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube, A2Z (free TV channel 11 in Mega Manila and parts of nearby provinces, SKYcable channel 11, Cignal channel 20), iWantTFC and The Filipino Channel (TFC) outside the Philippines are "Mars Ravelo's Darna: The TV Series" starring Jane De Leon; the inspirational series "Huwag Kang Mangamba" led by The Gold Squad (Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin); "Init Sa Magdamag" featuring Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion and JM De Guzman; and "La Vida Lena" starring Erich Gonzales, Carlo Aquino, Kit Thompson and JC De Vera.

Also coming to local small screens is "Almost Paradise", the first American drama series to be shot in the Philippines and made through the partnership of ABS-CBN and Electric Entertainment; a teleserye about timeless love starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla; and a new season of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" with Luis Manzano as host and Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid as judges. ABS-CBN's streaming service iWantTFC also has a lot in store for viewers including "Count Your Lucky Stars" of Asian superstars Jerry Yan and Shen Yue, horror and thriller content such as "Tenement 66" and "Horrorscope", the reunion of Roxanne Guinoo and Joross Gamboa in "Hoy....I Love You", the Thai series "Tale Of A Thousand Stars", and Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte's "Unloving U".

ABS-CBN will continue to entertain and inspire online Filipinos on the leading local community livestreaming app Kumu through its digital shows, while its FYE (For Your Entertainment) channel will soon be seen worldwide via TFC. On cable, Metro Channel (SKYcable SD channel 52 and HD channel 174; Cignal channel 69 starting January 4, 2021) is set to launch the first model search via pay TV and livestreaming on Kumu, "Metro Model Search 2021", while continuing to produce new episodes of "Good Vibes With Edu", "EIC On The Move", and "Casa Daza". On the other hand, Jeepney TV (SKYcable channel 9; Cignal channel 44 starting January 4, 2020) will have "Game KNB? Season 2" with Robi Domingo and "Pop-Up Comedy Bar" with DJ Jhai Ho while Cinema One (SKYcable channel 52) will also offer screenings of C1 Originals films via KTX.ph.

2021 will also be an eventful year for OPM as Star Music lines up new great and engaging songs from Filipino composers, the 11th edition of the Himig Handog songwriting competition and digital concerts featuring Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Piolo Pascual and Moira Dela Torre. Both MYX and MOR Philippines will have a digital relaunch while Star Music, DNA Records, Star Pop and Tarsier Records gear up for 200 digital music releases. ABS-CBN will also boost Philippine cinema with new films such as "Princess Dayareese" starring Eduard Barber and Maymay Entrata and showing on January 1, 2021; "Hello Stranger: The Movie" with Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara; "Love Or Money" topbilled by Coco Martin and Angelica Panganiban; "Soul Sistahs" featuring Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal-Escueta, and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco; and other upcoming films including "All-Nighter", "Keys To The Heart", Joshua Garcia's "Ang Mga Kaibigan Ni Mama Susan", and films of KathNiel, LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil), DonBelle (Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano), Kim Chiu and Vice Ganda as well as the John Lloyd Cruz's comeback movie with Bea Alonzo. These will be offered in various platforms including iWantTFC, KTX.ph, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV, Cignal PPV and select cinemas via CineXpress. Star Cinema will continue to produce shows such as "Like A Boss" with Raymond Gutierrez and DonBelle's "He's Into Her".

The event was among the top trending topics in the Philippines for hours as netizens praised the star-studded musical extravaganza which also highlighted positive values such as faith in God, love for family, compassion, ingenuity and resilience through real stories of Filipinos presented by Kapamilya news personalities. Made for the benefit of typhoon victims via Sagip Kapamilya's "Tulong-Tulong Sa Pag-Ahon", the staging of the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2020 was historic as it was seen simultaneously across multiple media plafforms to Filipinos all over the world including the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, A2Z, KTX.ph and TFC.
