Meanwhile, Gen Z promises an inside look of how the younger generation navigates through the ins and outs of everyday life and, at the same time, shows the older generation how to connect and better understand them. A fresh yet fearless portrayal of the millennial generation's struggles and aspirstions by Regal and Cignal Entertainment, Gen Z tackles the story of two brothers Jojo (Jerome Ponce) and Kiko (Kent Gonzales) entering the world of adulthood with their friends Matet (Jane Oineza) and Rico (Darwin Yu). Part of their friend group are the rebellious wildheart Gina (Chie Filomeno) and upper class sweethearts Migo (Ricci Rivero) and Michelle (Melizza Jimenez).
Gen Z will portray how each character deals with life's challenges while striving to achieve their ambitions and its impact on their relationship with family and friends. It will highlight the diverse yet deeply interconnected of the characters as they take on bigger responsibilities while dealing with persons in society that they do not agree with. Clouding their story of friendship are the individuals' dillemmas within their families, seeking to understand and be understood. The story will likewise touch on the different dynamics of families and the characters' perseverance in making their current situations better for them and their loved ones, which becomes more relatable across all generations. Joining the young main cast are veteran actors Joey Marquez, Angeli Bayani and Teresa Loyzaga among others.
Catch Regal Originals every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 pm and Gen Z at Sundays, 6:00 pm, starting March 14 on One Screen.
