Smart Communications Inc. has unveiled Hollywood actor Chris Evans as the face of the telco's "Live Smarter For A Better World" campaign through a new two-minute television and online advertisement released on social media with the star who portrayed Captain America in several Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies and slated to play as Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Disney action film "Lightyear" declaring "Simple, Smart Ako" at the end of the commercial which was made possible under the helm of renouned German-born director Pascal Heiduk.
Through its "Live Smarter For A Better World" campaign, Smart intends to inspire and encourage people to commit themselves to sustainable actions with lasting, positive impact to society as well as to ignite their passions in making the world change for the better. Over the years, Smart has been known for promoting and supporting various causes including gaining a strong foothold in innovation, sustainability and nation building. Smart has also been empowering the Filipino people with smart, simple and easy access to cutting-edge technology. “There’s nothing like the current challenges the world is facing to make us all realize that we are all interconnected, and that our personal actions have broader impact. Smart's first Hollywood A-list ambassador remains one of the world's most popular and well-loved among Hollywood actors almost two years after Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters worldwide. Evans is the star of blockbuster Captain America films which have catapulted to enormous success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avengers: Infinity War remains the highest-grossing MCU and superhero film of all time, earning more than US$279 billion in global box-office sales. In 2020, Chris launched the civil engagement platform A STARTING POINT where he interviews various American politicians and stakeholders in minute long videos to discuss state policies and newsworthy topics.
