Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have officially announced the release dates for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus exclusively for the Nintendo Switch hybrid video game system. The older versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2006 will be launched on November 10, 2021 and the double pack of these games will be out on the same day while you have to wait until January 28, 2022 before Pokémon Legends: Arceus hit the gaming shelves.
In the newest remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the original story has been reproduced along with various game functions that will become exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Pokémon trainers will be challenged to discover the mysterious connection between Dialga or Palkia and the Sinnoh region in great adventures that can be fresh and nostalgic. On the other hand, the action adventure game Pokémon Legends: Arceus packed with role-playing elements, players will be on the mission to create and complete the Sinnoh region's first ever Pokédex by catching, surveying and researching wild Pokémons roaming around the said region.
Pokémon HOME, the cloud service for Pokémon players and enthusiasts on the Nintendo Switch and compatible mobile devices, provides the most recent update featuring the Catch Calendar where trainers can easily relive memories of their adventures such as the day they have caught their first Pokémon or occasions when they have received a Pokémon as a gift. The Catch Calendar can also be marked with personal birthdays and anniversaries of their very first encounter with a rare or favorite Pokémon. The new update also enables trainers to view their Pokémon registered in the PokéDex in Pokémon HOME from different angles, adding extra fun in discovering more about them. Furthermore, Pokémon HOME is compatible across multiple platforms including Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee and Pokémon Sword and Shield for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS software application Pokémon Bank and Pokémon GO.
As a special treat, users can receive Bulbasaur and Squirtle as Mystery Gifts in the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME and in Pokémon Sword and Shield on the Switch. These are special because they will able to do GigantaMax after evolving into Venusaur and Blastoise just like the Charmander from Leon after becoming champion in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Pokémon HOME users should take note that the Mystery Gifts feature is only exclusive to the Android and iOS versions. For more information and updates, visit diamondpearl.pokemon.com/en-us.
