GMA Artist Center, the talent management arm of GMA Network Inc., staged its Digital Learning Day last May 26, 2021 to keep its roster of talents updated on the latest trends and key know-hows in the digital world. This is one of the various trainings and seminars that GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) offers to its talents to help them thrive in the Philippine entertainment industry amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic and as part of its continuing commitment to developing actors, singers, dancers, hosts and influencers.

Celebrities keep in touch with their followers on social media which is why it is very important to keep themselves active on the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other social networking sites. This is because after fans have watched them from the episode of a drama series or any other TV show for that matter, they want to know more about the idols they admire. This is why it is always crucial for artists to always connect to their fans who are the main supporters of their career in showbiz. Prior to the start of the training, First Yaya lead actress Sanya Lopez expressed her "hunger" to learn more about social media and various digital strategies artists should know about. According to the most followed Kapuso artist on TikTok with more than ten million followers, “I’m very excited, of course, today kasi syempre may panibago tayong matututunan. Of course gusto ko rin matuto kung paano nga ba talaga…minsan kasi, ewan ko kung ako lang, na meron na gusto kong, like maganda yung post mo pero hindi siya masyadong nila-like ng mga tao. Tapos may post din ako na hindi naman siya masyadong ok for me, pero mas mataas yung likes. Di ba? So ‘yun yung mga gusto kong alamin kung bakit ba ganun."

Hosted by Rain Matienzo, the GMAAC Digital Learning Day was graced by experts from various fields who served as trainers for the Kapuso artists participating in the virtual event. These include YouTube Philippines' Head Of Content Partnerships Pablo Mendoza, Facebook Philippines' Strategic Partner and Development Lead Annaliza Dela Cruz, Podcast Partner Manager Philippe Dissini, "Promil Kid" and renouned digital photographer Shaira Luna, Jako De Leon sharing the importance of a social media team, radio personality SamYG and Nas Daily's Mich Lozare. Other panelists are GetCraft Senior Vice President Raffy Casas, Gushcloud Philippines Country Director Jamie Paraso, and TikTok's Des Lacson and Julie Zhu. The Digital Learning Day is part of GMAAC's line of events to hone the talents of its artists into the best performers they can be - passionate not only in excelling in their craft but also about being an inspiration to their audiences.
